A very interesting opportunity where you, as the Business Resilience Design & Standardization Lead, will be responsible for the design, development, standardizing and maintenance of our Business Resilience program aligning with company visions and strategies and ensures inclusion of all resilience elements.
Our Business Resilience program is centered around Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Crisis Management (CM) where we focus on having a business enabling BR structure based on simple business continuity plans for our most critical sites, applications and processes while maintaining a strong CM structure reacting to disruptions at various levels.
The primary area of focus will be continuous improvement of the BR framework and developments of standard ways of working, support and guide BR owners/focal points in the business in their implementation of the framework with focus on creating value for the business and our customers. In other words, lead the work alongside skilled colleagues creating a Business Resilience structure in Maersk.
This role will be based in our headquarters in Copenhagen and part of a dedicated and fun team passionate about creating real value for our customers
Responsibilities
You will be leading the development and continuous improvement of the BR framework ensuring it is simple for those working with it yet creating value for the business and the customers we serve.
You will be leading the work associated with standardizing our BR work processes from HQ through Regions and into the frontline.
You will also own the BR narrative in close dialogue with the wider BR team and our Engagement and Change Manager ensuring that we can clearly articulate our value proposition broader across the business.
Other key tasks:
- Own the Annual Wheel for BR in close coordination with BR colleagues in the Global Service Centre. This includes developments of the annual focus areas, communication, capacity building of key stakeholders, support during process and quarterly reporting
- Lead efforts in standardisation across BR established in close collaboration with the Standardisation lead in the Operational Excellence and Innovation
- Organize and run the BR/BCM Committees (BR sounding board/steerco/committee etc.) including preparing agenda, documentation and assurance program
- Own and manage the Commit Rule (corporate policy standard) for BCM and ensure it is updated and various standard templates, processes etc. are drafted and maintained in close coordination with internal key stakeholders
- Bring in industry leading best practices and make them relevant to APMM
- Ensure annual test and review of the Strategic Business Impact Analysis (SBIA) based on the strategic business risks provided by the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. Coordinate review and work on mitigation plan
What are we looking for
The ideal candidate has very solid experience and deep understanding of business resilience principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
You will have BCM experience in business processes management and a BCM certified practitioner desirable.
Furthermore you have experience with program implementation and maintenance.
You have a customer-centric approach and ability to articulate the BR value proposition
Furthermore about you:
- Have strong interpersonal and team working skills with a “self-starter” attitude
- You are a self-starter who has excellent project and stakeholder management skills and is comfortable in taking the lead in their areas of responsibility
- Should have a strategic and analytic mind-set and have experience of working with multiple stakeholders across cultures and seniority
- Are able to zoom in on the relevant details while keeping the holistic overview at the same time
- Proven ability to influence without authority and engage confidently with leaders at all levels
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to a broad range of audiences
- You are always on the lookout for continuous improvement opportunities and able to take ownership of them when identified.
