We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our Fleet Safety team. This pivotal role will contribute to the safe and reliable management of our vessels, ensuring alignment with our core values and strategic goals. The successful candidate will act as the Manager for our Safety Management System (SMS), driving quality assurance and regulatory compliance across the organization. Effective communication skills are crucial, as you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor staff on safety procedures and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality and reliability of our safety management system, making it streamlined, efficient, and easy to understand, considering occupational health, safety, environment, security, compliance, and financial aspects.
- Guide and mentor the organization in writing clear and concise procedures, collaborating with respective departments.
- Maintain robust controls and documentation procedures, seeking ways to reduce administrative workload and enhance SMS efficiency.
- Oversee all external office audit programs, ensuring thorough follow-up on findings.
- Function as the lead auditor for the annual internal office audit.
- Drive internal quality assurance processes, including management reviews, Master’s reviews, action implementation, and improvements, across both vessels and shore establishments.
- Identify, plan, and execute quality projects necessary for the company to meet future challenges associated with fleet growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of ISO 14001 and ISM code
- Highly analytical approach with a strong eye for detail
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to enhance processes, eliminate waste, and optimize quality.
- Strong skills in managing stakeholder expectations and fostering collaborative relationships.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, convey quality goals, and facilitate discussions on quality-related matters.
- Experience in large international organizations and the ability to navigate a complex stakeholder matrix
- Structured working style and focus on delivering results as per agreed timescales and scope
- Fluency in English
