The Role
As Senior Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving Monta’s ambitious growth and ensuring financial stability during its transition to a more structured and scalable organization. You’ll act as a player-coach, seamlessly balancing leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations. From inspiring your team to tackling the details in the machine room, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial foundation for its next growth chapter.

As Senior Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving Monta’s ambitious growth and ensuring financial stability during its transition to a more structured and scalable organization. You’ll act as a player-coach, seamlessly balancing leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations. From inspiring your team to tackling the details in the machine room, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial foundation for its next growth chapter.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing an accounting team of 4 as well as external consultants with a focus on elevating team capabilities and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Ensure IFRS compliance, manage VAT and payroll, as well as working closely with auditors for annual reporting.
- Oversee BS and PL accountability and oversee financial consolidation across 10+ entities.
- Lead improvements in operational efficiency, transitioning entrepreneurial workflows into scalable processes.
The Profile
We seek individuals who excel in dynamic environments and are passionate about professionalizing financial operations. As part of the ambitious team, you’ll lead with empathy and resilience, fostering a collaborative culture while ensuring operational scalability.
- 5–8 years in accounting leadership, ideally in scale-ups, fintech, or similar industries.
- Relevant master’s degree (e.g., cand.merc.aud, HD-R, cand.oecon, or cand.polit).
- Strong knowledge of Danish GAAP, IFRS, VAT compliance, and financial reporting. Familiarity with US GAAP is a plus.
- Resilient, process-driven, and entrepreneurial. You thrive in high-energy environments and have a talent for mentorship and team building.
- Fluency in English.
