Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen
We are looking for a Research Coordinator to provide administrative support to the PIG-PARADIGM project starting on October 1, 2022, or after agreement. The position is a fixed-term position for 4 years 9 months. You can read more about PIG-PARADIGM here: https://novonordiskfonden.dk/en/news/researchers-mobilise-to-combat-antimicrobial-resistance/
PIG-PARADIGM is an international collaborative consortium project coordinated at Aarhus University. The Data Integration Pillar of this project will be coordinated at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) that was established in 2010 to conduct fundamental research on metabolism. CBMR is part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. The Center has around 260 employees from all over the world. Its employees moved into new laboratories, offices and meeting rooms in the Maersk Tower in summer 2017. You can read more about us at http://cbmr.ku.dk
Your job
The successful candidate will be an essential member of a multidisciplinary team of scientists from Aarhus University, University of Copenhagen, Aalborg University, Wageningen University, and University of California-Davis, aiming to prevent infection in the gut of developing piglets, thereby reducing the use of antibiotics, and thus reducing the spread of antimicrobial resistance - by disentangling the interface of diet, the host, and the gastrointestinal microbiome.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Data Integration Pillar leader (Associate Professor Mani Arumugam) in many operational and administrative aspects supporting activities of the consortium and specifically the Data Integration Pillar. These include but are not limited to managing, monitoring, and reporting budget operations to the University of Copenhagen and the funding agency; booking travels and accommodation for visiting scientists; organising videoconferences and face-to-face meetings; communicating with Principal Investigators and research staff at all levels and liaise with media and non-scientific stakeholders for communication on activities of the consortium. The successful candidate should also expect to provide some support to Associate Professor Mani Arumugam with the day-to-day coordination of the Arumugam Group.
Profile
The ideal candidate should be meticulous, detail oriented, flexible, problem solver, service minded and have highly developed interpersonal communication skills.
We are looking for an enthusiastic research coordinator with the following essential criteria:
Place of employment
The place of employment is at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, Maersk Tower, University of Copenhagen. You will refer to Head of Administration Helle Hald and be part of a dynamic administrative team of 14 people. We support the core tasks of the Center: research, education, and research communication. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in dynamic and international research environment.
Terms of salary and employment
The employment as Research Coordinator (AS-TAP) is a full time and fixed-term position for 4 years 9 months. Starting date is October 1, 2022, or after agreement. The successful candidate will be based in Copenhagen.

You are employed as Special Consultant with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experiences and qualifications.
