Service Service Commercial Management Global Service Accounts
The Global Service Accounts department is part of the Global Service Business Unit. We work closely together with both the Regional Service Account Managers, Sales Business Units and various associated global functions to support of Vestas´ "profitable growth" strategy by helping to ensure long-term stable revenue from the Vestas Service Key Account Group of customers. Vestas Global Service is divided into three business areas:

  • Maintenance with focus on long term service contracts
  • Parts and Repair with focus on transactional sales and out of contract revenue
  • Fleet Optimisation with focus on turbine and plant level improvements

The Global Service Accounts department has a broad reach, working across all three business areas in direct support of 30+ of the most important Service Accounts globally. To be successful in the role you will need to be able to navigate in a complex matrix organisation.

Bringing your strong and industry relevant financial and commercial expertise you will create and commercialise new service business models to address the important and growing customer segment of financial players. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) regarding requirements from this segment and advise on the optimal way to address them through long term service offerings. You will be globally accountable for driving continuous efforts to optimise Vestas Service business’ competitiveness through enablement and empowerment of the regional Key Account Management (KAM) function.

In addition, you will collaborate with Global Service KAM as well as the frontline Service KAM’s across the globe. You will continuously challenge the norm using your financial and commercial insights to support development of Key Account plans, innovative bid winning strategies, new business models and offerings.

Responsibilities
The scope in this position is focused around compliant financial creativity, generating offers, energy market knowledge, and commercial account management excellence. Your responsibilities will cover to:

  • Use your expertise to manage the development and commercialisation of innovative service offerings across the three service business areas to improve the options in the KAM Selling Toolbox
  • Be SME and take commercial lead in service financialisation and energy markets including product development, commercialisation, and deal level engagement
  • Perform financial modeling of current and new service offerings considering the overall business case, impact and profitability for both Vestas and the Customer
  • Support the development and implementation of KAM tools, including customer focused dashboards, communication and collaboration tools, and pipeline management
  • Support the facilitation of the KAM Planning Process globally across Global Key Accounts
  • Support pricing, risk assessment, and account planning strategy dialogue in the global community with the sales business units
  • Actively support the regional service account managers as they navigate complex competitive environments such as energy auctions, complex energy tenders and forward selling activities
  • Build commercial and financial capabilities while working in close collaboration with financial partners, global sales, and regional service sales partners within the Vestas community

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant energy financial experience preferably relating to capital intensive energy markets
  • Master's degree with focus on quantitative analysis (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Economics etc.)
  • Analytical experience/expertise in financial modelling, valuations, corporate or project finance
  • Experience with financial analysis is a requirement
  • Renewable Energy or other relevant Service market experience with focus on financial modeling from a commercial perspective
  • Solid understanding of different capital equipment service models and risk management
  • Fluency in written and verbal English

  • Respected in your field and able to establish influential relationships internally and externally across all levels of the organisation
  • Strong interest in commercial risk evaluation and acute awareness and attention to the energy industry and finance industry
  • Highly analytical with a holistic approach, strong problem-solving skills and quantitative aptitude
  • Demonstrated sharp and structured excel skills are a must
  • Passionate and highly persistent, and willing to go the extra mile to deliver a winning solution
  • Strong understanding of global energy markets, including public and private PPAs as well as various Merchant Market models
