The GTLD functions reports directly to the CHRO, who is part of Vestas executive management.
In this role you will interact with global key stakeholders from most functions, including regional talent and development partners, HR business partners, and business leaders. You will collaborate closely with all areas within the HR function, not least the Talent Development, Commercial Development, Leadership & Cultural Transformation teams. In the initial phase you will have 1-2 direct reports.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to drive the development and execution of the Learning and Development strategy. This includes promoting and sustaining a learning and development collaborative culture in the organisation to enhance performance and strengthen the employee experience and engagement. More specifically, your responsibilities will cover:
Qualifications
Passion for learning and development and a strong belief in “never stop learning” is a must. Your academic background is at Masters’ level or similar – the field of your studies could be within social science, psychology, engineering, business administration or another relevant field. You have experience from working with L&D in different cultures in global B2B companies, preferably in global matrix organisations. In addition:

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to drive the development and execution of the Learning and Development strategy. This includes promoting and sustaining a learning and development collaborative culture in the organisation to enhance performance and strengthen the employee experience and engagement. More specifically, your responsibilities will cover:
- Learning innovation by exploring and adopting new cost-effective ways of learning, including seeking inspiration from external vendors and universities
- Identify and drive global learning initiatives based on future and current business needs. Build a network of in-house experts in various business-related topics and regions
- Develop leaders’ (all career tracks) people management and leadership skills by designing and providing development activities aligned with Vestas Values and Behaviours
- Drive and promote organisational cultural transformation through value activation, feedback and diversity & inclusion initiatives
- Constructively challenge behaviours which are contrary to Vestas’s values and culture and promote the right behaviours across the team and Vestas
- Provide leaders with education and tools to promote a culture of coaching and continuous feedback in their teams
- Align with Regional Talent and Development partners, and key stakeholders on regional needs and priorities for all the relevant learning matters
- Contribute actively to the Talent Development Community (Yammer, etc.) in collaboration with the GTLD team, including the tracking, reviewing, and sharing of successful stories from key stakeholders
Qualifications
Passion for learning and development and a strong belief in “never stop learning” is a must. Your academic background is at Masters’ level or similar – the field of your studies could be within social science, psychology, engineering, business administration or another relevant field. You have experience from working with L&D in different cultures in global B2B companies, preferably in global matrix organisations. In addition:
- Experience with managing a broad variety of stakeholders across organisational levels
- 10+ years’ relevant work experience preferably from various functions not limited to HR
- Solid understanding and application of the science of successful learning
- Superior communicative, quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Strong cultural awareness & openness
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Experience from living abroad (studying/working)
- Preferably experience from developing and successfully executing L&D strategies in global matrix organisations
