Responsibilities
As the Lead Specialist from Group Communications dedicated to growing media engagement and issues management, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure that Vestas' reputation is strengthened across key communication touchpoints. Your primary responsibility will be to:
- Support media and public relations, with a special focus on maturing Vestas' reputation as an increasingly influential player in the energy industry and help drive issues management
- Establish and strengthen relationships with tier one global media
- Develop internal infrastructure around issues management, from communications advisories to spokesperson preparation
- Coordinate media visits and media engagements; including building media reports and impact analysis
- You will also play a minor role as a spokesperson on behalf of Vestas in response to external inquiries
- Collaborate closely with your colleagues to ensure thorough coordination with other activities across Vestas' global channels
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in positions related to communications, public relations, or other relevant areas in a global organisation
- A relevant theoretical background at Masters’ level
- Solid knowledge of the energy sector or other relevant industries
- Experience in building and maintaining relations with key media
- Effortless use of the MS Office suite
- Superior written and verbal communications skills in English
