As Head of Planning, a major part of the job is to support execution of BC Hospitality Groups strategic goals, leading our planning team into Operational Excellence.

Operational excellence can simply be described as a philosophy that embraces problem-solving and leadership as the key to continuous improvement.

Reducing the operational complexity by standardizing and unifying the delivery model in our venue and in cross collaboration with our hotels, while securing a strong, sustainable planning process and service delivery excellence.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Improving the growth & efficiency in our organization
  • Getting the job done quicker, more precise and qualified
  • Creating the framework for a good collaboration with the organizer / customer and collaborate with them on how their event will be a success
  • Improving the teams’ skills & capabilities to ensure that we meet our professional goals
  • Organizing, systemizing, and standardizing the deliveries
  • Delivering expected results, both in terms of quality and financial results to our stakeholders and leading the team of subject matter experts in our organization with world-class approaches to resolve common business problems

Opgaver

Typical tasks include:

  • Enabling the planning team to create and deliver “Operational excellence” in the planning of congresses, exhibitions and party events – both in collaboration with the customer / organizer and internally (Production, Operations etc.)
  • Overseeing day to day management within the Planning Team
  • Responsible for the general staffing of event teams
  • Providing guidance in relation to offers, planning and execution
  • Responsible for financial transparency and follow-up on events in collaboration with project managers
  • Conducting staff interviews and development interviews (WinWin dialogues) with team members
  • Responsible for the department’s budgets and forecasts
  • Recruiting new employees
  • Responsible for developing plans for systems, procedures and sales materials
  • Responsible for the development and use of various systems such as ERP system and webshop
  • Working within the Values and Vision of BC Hospitality Group
  • Ensuring a good tone and cooperation in the department

Professional qualifications and competencies

  • Previous experience with project management / event planning
  • An ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with frequently shifting priorities
  • A proactive and systematic approach to assigned tasks
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Superuser of Office 365
  • Fluency in Danish and English
