Your primary task will be to build Pandora’s presence in key news, business and trade media. You pick up the phone when journalists call, and you enjoy working proactively with media pitches and can cultivate strong relationships with journalists and industry opinion leaders. You will craft messages, announcements, presentations and other materials to support the corporate profiling of Pandora, and you will take lead on issues management in Denmark and abroad.
Colleagues count on you for expert advice as you brief all levels of management on media relations, and you will help organise executive media days and other events to raise our profile in the media.
Further to this, you will:
- Develop Pandora’s corporate social media presence and be responsible for day-to-day management of our accounts on e.g. LinkedIn and Twitter.
- Identify and secure relevant global speaking opportunities for Pandora.
- Contribute to global sustainability projects with e.g. trend analyses and engaging authorities, NGOs and other stakeholders to drive our sustainability agenda.
Communications and media relations professional with strong interpersonal skills
You have excellent writing/editorial skills and a great attention to detail. Your communication and interpersonal skills are strong and you have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Furthermore, you are change ready and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Adding to that, we envision that you have and can demonstrate:
- Master’s degree in communications, journalism, business economics, societal studies or similar
- 5+ years professional experience from corporate communications, including relations building to high-level media across business and dailies, crafting corporate messages for external and internal use, and orchestrating speaking opportunities – preferably from a global organisation
- Understanding of the wider industry and sustainability agenda, and how this impacts corporates and brands
- Social media experience
- Experience with issues management, preferably from a consumer-oriented business
- Fluent in English and Danish
Your new team
Reporting to the Director External Relations, you will be part of the Corporate Communications & Sustainability team. We are based in Pandora’s global headquarters in Copenhagen, responsible for the company’s internal communication, media relations, financial communications, issues management, c-suite visibility, corporate social media, group web, sustainability work and wider stakeholder management globally. We work closely together with the Executive Leadership Team, Investor Relations, Marketing, and many other functions across the company.
Pandora is in the middle of an exciting business turnaround programme. We are currently expanding the team, hiring colleagues in our key markets as we wish to build on Pandora’s position in key international media and increase corporate message delivery across stakeholders.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues in many markets and have a seat on our global communications forum and an active role in global projects.
