About the job:

Are you ready to elevate Saxo's PR and communications efforts to new heights? We are seeking a dynamic senior leader to join us as the Global Head of Corporate Communications, PR, and Organic Social Media. In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing our global public relations strategy, driving earned media efforts across traditional and organic social channels, and guiding our Executive Team – as well as the rest of our organisation – on critical communication matters. Your work will be instrumental in enhancing Saxo's reputation, navigating crisis situations, and supporting key business goals, including client acquisition, lead generation, and revenue growth.

As the head of the Communications, PR, and Organic Social Media team, you will lead a high-performing group of eight PR and communication professionals across several geographical locations and oversee a network of local PR agencies. The team is responsible for a wide range of functions, including inbound and outbound PR, digital PR, crisis communication, corporate communications, media queries, organic social media, ghostwriting, and internal communications.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner closely with [xxxxx]'s C-suite, providing strategic advice on communications and PR to support business objectives and strengthen the company's reputation



  • Lead [xxxxx]'s global crisis communication strategy to ensure rapid response and consistent messaging during critical situations. Act as a key spokesperson in high-stakes moments, managing media inquiries and delivering clear, accurate communications both externally and across the organisation



  • Elevate the visibility and thought leadership of Saxo’s executives by positioning them as industry experts and raising the company's brand recognition in the market



  • Inspire and mentor a talented team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth.



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy that aligns with Saxo's marketing efforts across owned and paid channels, driving earned media to boost website traffic, generate leads, reduce client acquisition costs, and increase revenue



  • Collaborate closely with marketing production, paid media, strategy, legal, compliance, and local offices to ensure PR initiatives are fully aligned with product launches, regulatory requirements, and regional strategies



  • Establish clear KPIs for PR and social media efforts. Track and report on key metrics, such as media coverage, social media engagement, and more, and provide insights and recommendations for ongoing optimisation.



Your Profile

To excel in this role, we expect you to have 7-10 years in PR and communications, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership position, ideally within financial services, fintech, or investment management. A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team and manage a network of PR agencies is required. You could also have similar expertise from an agency or media role.

You must also have significant experience working with C-suite executives on crisis communication, including high-stakes regulatory issues, while also possessing a strong commercial focus with a proven ability to develop PR strategies that not only can help us increase brand awareness but also support commercial KPIs, such as increasing traffic, generating leads, and driving revenue.

Extensive contacts within the financial media landscape and the ability to secure top-tier coverage is ideal, while exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Danish is a must.

You are a professional person with high integrity, a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, lead with autonomy and possess the ability to juggle multiple projects with ease. Success in this role requires being collaborative, a true comms and PR advisor, and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic environments and adapt quickly to evolving market conditions and business priorities.
