Are you best in class when it comes to managing production teams and can you take it to the next level?
ConvaTec is a global medical products and technologies company focused on therapies for the management of chronic conditions, with leading market positions in advanced wound care, ostomy care, continence and critical care, and infusion devices. They are on a growth track and looking into a future where their products are in high demands. Today ConvaTec serves 1+ million patients, but have the ambitions to serve 1,6+ million by 2026. Therefore, they are eager to optimize the way they operate their current production site in Osted, Denmark where they manufacture the infusion sets. Furthermore, they are also looking into expansion of the cleanroom production area and will open new production lines during next year.
This is therefore a very exciting position in the heart of the ConvaTec business, where you will have the opportunity to work with dedicated people who has a joint target of being best in class for production of medical devices.
Lean production and leading leaders
The position is located in Osted, Denmark and the team consists of 200+ employees in 5 different shifts, each led by a team supervisor and operating 24/7. The team supervisors have the day-to-day operational responsibility and line management, and you should therefore be a champion in leading leaders. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Director for Operations, located in Denmark, and be a part of the operations management team. You will therefore have colleagues and stakeholder from sites in other parts of the world.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Lead the leaders and ensure there is a common agenda when it comes to best practices in all aspects.
- Ensure that the 5 teams are motivated to perform at their best and that staff are motivated to work for ConvaTec and at the same time nurture a culture for top talents.
- Take the overall strategy and ensure it is implemented by using best practices and KPI measurements. This could include capacity expansion, automation etc.
- Regularly present results and performance KPIs as well as initiatives for continuous improvements.
- Ensure sufficient, qualified, and motivated staff in the production.
- Continuous Improvement of the workflow and the work routines of the teams.
- Ensure optimal utilization of available resources in such a way that plans, quality requirements, and budgets are observed in accordance with the objectives and policies.
Structured approach with clear results
In order to have success in this position, it is required that you have 5+ years’ experience from a similar position. It is not important exactly from which industry, but we expect you to have experience with production of parts and assembly processes. It is important that you have a very structured approach to everything you do and of course you have a very deep and broad toolbox when it comes to managing a production with different lines. You are therefore good with numbers and know why they are important to monitor and adjust if not on track compared to what has been agreed.
You thrive with the operational part of line management, and at the same time you contribute to the strategic development, that in the long run will take the production at ConvaTec to the next level.
As a leader you create followership by setting clear direction, inspiring, and developing the organization. You are ambitious and take ownership in everything you do. You are good at problem solving and can manage a high level of activity with a positive attitude. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in Danish and in English.
