What is the job about?
As Head of Global Mobility, you have end to end responsibility for Global Mobility in demant, and you are responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and executing a global international employee mobility strategy and program, which supports the wider company strategy. You do this by applying your Global Mobility experience and thought leadership along with knowledge about latest developments and trends in the area of Global Mobility to the company strategy and business stakeholder needs.

Your main responsibilities consist of:
Designing, building, and executing an effective global mobility program and function from scratch which enables the best performance of the company, and is recognised for providing world class support to the business and relocating employees and family members.

This includes:

  • Designing demant’s future Global Mobility program while continuing the execution of the existing global mobility program, which focuses on assignments and relocations into/out from demant’s global headquarters in Denmark.
  • Setting the strategy and direction for Global Mobility in demant
  • Designing a Global Mobility policy framework which supports the company strategy and aligns with relevant global mobility market trends.
  • Designing robust mobility processes which focus on employee experience, compliance, cost effectiveness, efficiency, and standardization.
  • Selecting and organising a comprehensive network of ever-growing global mobility vendors which work closely with the Global Mobility team on all aspects of international employee mobility in demant.
  • Building a motivated, globally dispersed and virtually collaborating high-performing global mobility team which gradually assumes global accountability and responsibility for the end-to-end global mobility process in all geographies and business areas.
  • Thorough and effective implementation of the new demant Global Mobility program, and ensuing a respectful, user-centric, timely and high-quality execution of the program.
  • Ensuring compliance with matters associated with the Global Mobility process, i.e. corporate and individual tax, social security, immigration, employment law, EU Posted Worker Directive etc.
  • Ensuring relevant tools and systems are in place to enable a smooth and effective execution and management of international employee mobility.
  • Ensuring data is kept safe and managed in accordance with GDPR and other applicable data security regulations.
  • Implementing solid governance processes within the Global Mobility area.


What do you need to apply?
To be a good match for this role you have proven experience with successfully designing (or transforming) and leading a Global Mobility program in a multinational company, and a good grasp of what makes mobility programs effective and a good experience for users.

As a mobility professional you are able at establishing yourself as a respected mobility expert and innovator within the organisation.

As a person you have a strategic mindset, and you use your expert stakeholder engagement and management skills to understand business needs and gain support for the global mobility agenda you are promoting. You are a team player, and your collaboration skills and intercultural intelligence enable you to work effectively with stakeholders and colleagues across cultures and at all levels of the organisation.

Your effective organisational skills enable you to identify an issue, set a direction, structure work, and build relevant competences in the team. You use your good communication skills to communicate clearly about the global mobility agenda.

You are an experienced, charismatic, and supportive people leader, and you have a solid focus on creating a positive, empowering, and efficient atmosphere in the team. You take the well-being and continued growth and development of each team member seriously, and you know what it takes to keep employees engaged. You focus on inducing a genuine sense of belonging and team spirit to your team which will be located across geographies and cultural differences.

Additional information
As Head of Global Mobility, you are ideally based in a European time zone, but another location can be considered for the right candidate.

The position reports to the Senior Director, HR Core Deliveries. When you join, the Global Mobility team will consist of you and an experienced Senior Global Mobility Specialist. You will be able to hire an additional team member immediately after you join, and the team is expected to grow further over time.
