Team Leader, Data Analytics

We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and in some cases divestment of assets as well as Power-to-X projects. Our company of +450 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 30 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our local offices in 16 other locations, primarily in Europe. Our vision is to be a major global force in driving the green transition.
As our new colleague, you will be the Team Leader of our Data Analytics team, currently consisting of two colleagues, and an essential part of our Asset Management team. As a renewable energy developer, we handle time series data for wind and solar assets, and your primary focus will be developing and implementing a long-term data and analytics strategy. You will establish a robust and supported data platform at a global scale enabling data, analytics, and insights to be used by the organization. Through collaboration with stakeholders from the core business, you and your team will ensure that operations data warehouse will be maintained and developed according to best practices.
As a person, you have an inspiring can-do-attitude, a growth mindset, and the curiosity to try new things. Your professional IT toolbox is solid, and you have experience working with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, Microsoft’s BI stack, Data and AI tools. You have proven experience of building data platforms and have solid knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices. Moreover, you have experience with people management and motivation of employees.

Your responsibilities
- Lead and set the direction for the data team
- Steer the development and implementation of a long-term data and analytics strategy in terms of how we acquire, store, consume, and distribute data
- Work closely with our Asset Managers and the IT department to deliver highly scalable solutions based on modern cloud-based architecture
- Support, optimize, and automate our internal processes
- Deliver Modern Data Platform and Advanced Analytics solutions for clients
- Act as an “Data Ambassador” in order to leverage technical insight, and build knowledge of business and IT strategy, the Azure ecosystem, data platform, and AI/IoT use cases in the organization
- Improve scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of our existing Data systems
Professional skills we expect from you
- You have an IT related, technical or another relevant degree (BSc or MSc), e.g., within computer science, computer engineering, data science or similar
- You have hands-on experience in building data platforms on cloud and scaling data analytics departments
- You have extensive practical experience working with Microsoft’s BI Stack (SSIS, SQL, SSAS and PowerBI) and the Azure ecosystem
- You have a good understanding of data architecture and data modelling, including building robust architecture and processing large amounts of data
- You have experience with project management and have effectively completed various projects within the field of data, IT or similar
- You have experience with people management, guiding and motivating employees to reach their best potential
- You enjoy working with various stakeholders in ensuring the best solutions for the organization
