Head of Digital Products & Support to VELUX
Do you have a strong motivation for and insight into digital products and services as enablers to business growth? Can you set the scene for how digitalisation can strengthen traditional non-digital product categories? And are you ready for a role with E2E responsibility from idea and design to commercialization and launch? Then we might be looking for you.

In the role as Head of Digital Products & Support, you will be responsible for supporting commercial results through maturing and preparing an enabling product portfolio. The customers are VELUX sales companies as well as working closely with stakeholders across three main product categories, Flat Roof Windows, Slope Roof Windows, and Accessories. VELUX is ambitious about continuing being a market leader, and not only through sales but also by innovative supporting digital solutions.
The role is located at the head office in Hoersholm, and will be part of Global Product Management in Products and will report to the SVP.
Please note that we welcome international applicants within the EU, and who is willing to relocate for this exciting role that is placed close to the Executive Management and key decision-makers, and in touch with VELUX companies across regions and locations.
The Job
As Head of Digital Products & Support, you will head the commercial strategy for digital products and will through the right prioritisations and product launches have an impact on the sales companies’ performance in their sales of finished products across VELUX’s three main product categories. Next to product development and launches, you will have a distinct leadership role towards your team, stakeholders, and partners, where you make all parties understand the value added by digital products and services. At all times, you prioritise the needs from the three main categories as well as trends in the market and requirememts from the markets.
In short, and as a thought leader in digital products and services, you can set a direction, execute through others, and always be a step ahead when it comes to new trends and unmet needs. Other responsibilities include:
- Drive strategic development and commercialization of digital product offerings, to support the company transition towards a higher electric quota.
- Update and define the roadmaps and execution of commercial product management.
- Keep a close eye on market and industry trends, understand user needs, and understand how digital products can support categories that are not obvious digital – be clear on the value propositions.
- People management and develop, delegate to, retain and motivate the team members
- Present findings and recommendations to the Executive Management
- Be overall responsible for driving agendas and projects from idea to design to launch.
Experience and qualifications
We expect the right candidate to be somewhat of a multi-faceted personality – on one side, you are passionate and innovative, and on the other side, you have a strategic and analytical approach as well as having strong insight into what sells, and what the customers need to sell more. Your relations experience you as a strong communicator with excellent presentation skills, and where you can influence and convince others to buy-in on your ideas and plans, and in your people management, your leadership skills enable you to create engagement and motivation.
Professionally, you have relevant experience that combines digitalisation, commercial understanding, strategic product management as well as being able to navigate in an innovative context. Additionally, you have experience in following:
- Exposure to market drivers and needs and based on these, you have developed products or services.
- Experience with digital solutions that have acted as value drivers to products, but not necessarily where you have a deep technical understanding.
- Preferably some understand of the building construction industry, and if not, you have been exposed to various industries that have created elasticity in mindset.
- Experience from an international matrix organisation.
- Leadership experience and experience from driving a performance culture with high engagement.
- Fluent in English, in writing and orally.
The Team
The primary objective with Digital Products & Support is to enable the sales companies to sell more products across all three product categories Flat Roof Windows, Slope Roof Windows and Accessories by developing and commercialising electrical / digital products and services. Digital Products & Support is part of Global Product Management. There are approx. seven FTEs in team that are working with and specialised in Commercial Product Management, Product Management, and Third Tier Support.
