Closely supporting senior management (C-suite) and reporting to the Head of Group Finance, SVP

As the Director of Group Reporting & Control you will have your own personal areas of responsibility and, together with two other directors, you will be responsible for; management reporting, controlling, preparation of audit material and preparation of the annual report. As an integral part of NAC’s global consolidation and reporting team you will join a truly global organization with a substantial international network. You will be close to the decision makers and your role and contribution will be visible to senior management (C-suite). A critical element of this role is to deliver timely and quality reporting to support the senior management team (C-suite) in making optimum business decisions.

Core areas of responsibility are:

  • Being responsible for delivering a full set of financial reporting, i.e. cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheet in addition to a range of data and metrics on the business and key objectives.
  • Controlling (end-of-month) and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with local and international internal stakeholders.
  • Delivering efficient and high-quality month end and quarterly consolidated reporting.
  • Analyzing and effectively communicating financial performance to stakeholders, providing an overview and analysis of the financial performance and development of the business.
  • Communicating with external stakeholders, auditors, etc.
  • Involvement in funding and M&A activities.
  • Driving and participating in the improvement of systems, processes, controls and data such that Group Finance continues to support NAC’s further growth and development. Cross-functional collaboration is a key.

The Global Financial Services team (in Ireland, Denmark and Singapore) supports this role by handling all transactional finance for the individual companies in the group (approx. 150 companies). This will enable you to focus on your deliverables.

Finance profile with business acumen and execution power

You have a strong background in finance (cand.merc.aud., cand.merc., cand.oecon., HD(R) or equivalent) and a thorough understanding of financial reporting, accounting, controlling and consolidation. You deliver quality reporting on time based on an understanding of the business and strong communication skills. You have good analytical skills and partner with the business to improve performance. Maybe you already hold a similar position, or maybe you see this as an opportunity to take your career to the next level. You know that understanding the business’ needs and complexity in order to deliver professionally on a full set of financial reporting is key to success. Also, you are known as a solid executor both through excellent numeracy and analytical skills, but also by being capable of independently preparing written reporting based on consistency and business understanding and being able to spot and drive opportunities for improvement. You handle your areas of responsibility and tasks smoothly and efficiently, driving the “right first time” principle. You take pride in providing precise analyses and high-quality reporting while constantly staying in sync with the business needs and the group’s overall guidelines.

You enjoy working in a strong team in a global organization, and your knowledge and experience allows you to handle your tasks in a diligent and competent manner. You can see the big picture and are one step ahead in your analyses, because you quickly understand issues and know how to connect numbers with business know-how. You communicate with ease across local and global functions, and your straightforward manner and likeable attitude makes you a popular team member. Finally, you are an expert in ERP systems, reporting tools and MS Excel.
