Master thesis position available in Regenerative Medicine and Open Innovation at LEO Pharma
Do you want to help us develop screening assays to find new treatments for those living with a rare skin disease? Then this is the opportunity for you to join LEO Pharma. We are looking for a talented, motivated, and systematic master’s student who can step into the Regenerative Medicine laboratories and modify our Open Innovation assays and make them compatible for oligonucleotides.
The background
The LEO Pharma Regenerative Medicine team aims to cure monogenic rare skin diseases with high unmet need. At the same time, LEO Pharma Open Innovation offers free access to biological assays in order to test external molecules for their disease modifying effects, with a unique business model. We are looking for someone to bring these two together, and develop an assay to test for molecules, in the form of nucleotides, that might have an effect in a rare skin disease.
The job
This project is focused on practical laboratory work that will take place at LEO Pharma Headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark. As well as establishing the protocol to evaluate siRNA functionality in primary cells, you will need to consider the parameters of the assay that will allow for automatization and optimization.
