About the department

The department “Biostatistics Biopharm 2” is part of the global Biostatistics functional area in Global Development and is situated in the Novo Nordisk Søborg together with other functional areas like medical, regulatory affairs and marketing. The Biostatistics function in our R&D clinical development organisation currently consists of around 250 Statisticians and Statistical Programmers worldwide.

We are a department of highly skilled and dedicated people involved in statistical aspects of projects in development within Haemophilia and other blood disorders.

The position

As a Biostatistical Specialist you will be providing statistical input to product development plans, trial designs, clinical trial protocols, clinical trial reports, summary documents, publications, etc. You will be involved in presentation and discussion of results both internally and externally and participate in meetings with regulatory authorities and external collaborators.

In “Biostatistics Biopharm 2” one of the immediate tasks is take over the role as International Project Statistician for N9-GP and thereby be responsible for all the statistical input to the project. The International Project Statistician is responsible for setting the standards for all statistical work performed, ensuring consistency of statistical methods, acting as international project lead and being responsible for planning and coordination of statistical tasks

Coaching of less experienced colleagues is a natural part of the job and we expect you to be able to communicate statistical problems and ideas clearly to both statistical colleagues as well as stakeholders from other functional areas.

Development of methods and processes as well as knowledge sharing is continuously on-going in Novo Nordisk, especially based on the initiative of the employees. We expect you to take part in our dedicated efforts to make Biostatistics, globally, a good and challenging place to work. Qualifications

You have a solid theoretical background in statistics corresponding to at least MSc level and at least five years of experience within clinical or bio-statistical research. You must be able to act as driver and leading member of the project teams you are part of, and if you have experience from project management and supervision of colleagues, it will be an advantage. You must thrive in a role where you independently and proactively set direction for your part of the projects while handling several challenging tasks in parallel without compromising the quality of your work. As such, you must be able to create overview, prioritise and bring a flexible and positive mindset when things are moving fast, and deadlines are closing in.
