Tasks & responsibilities: You will…

… be overall responsible for technical performance and Engineering Bill of Material cost of the system. As System Lead, you will be technical responsible for all components interfaces in the system.

Reporting to the Head of Development & Engineering, you will be driving internal alignment and collaboration on the system across the organisation, and review and approve Engineering design and changes within the system.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring alignment with the Platform Lead for each WTG platform in our portfolio and drive a constant focus on cost and reliability optimization
  • Driving technical development for the system in close collaboration with the Subject Matter Experts on Components within the system
  • Maintaining overview of Engineering Bill of Material development against target defined for each project related to the system
  • Ensuring technical content of our documentation package related to the system is correct and kept up-to-date
  • Participating in category management work related to the system and influence the Sourcing Road Map with technical support and suggestions
  • Providing Subject Matter Expert support to the entire MHI Vestas Offshore Wind value chain as requested
  • Maintaining a close collaboration with our Program Management function and give input as well as challenging our Product Road Map
  • Providing input to scoping of projects both on technical solution, cost and time


    • Skills & experience: Our new colleague…

    … has a technical background with a relevant education i.e. Electrical Engineering degree or similar along with extensive wind turbine knowledge. Our new colleague has a in-depth knowledge and hands on experience in Power Production Technology system design and the underlying technologies.

    The role as System Lead requires that you are able to work internationally with large engineering teams, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical issues to people at a wide range of levels in the organisation.
