Opportunity
The Cargo Operator is part of the Cargo Execution team in Sealand Europe & Mediterranean – A Maersk Company, and is responsible for enabling cost efficient and smooth cargo operations for our customers cargo.
This position is part of the Operations team in Sealand Europe & Med (SEM). Operations is responsible for vessel schedules, allocation management, VSA coordination, load and discharge processes. As part of the A. P. Moller – Maersk Group, Sealand is serving the European and North African containerized market. Sealand is founded with the aim to enhance regional market focus.
The company is a stand-alone legal entity and operates as a fully independent business unit. In total 75 vessels are operated by Sealand in the Europe & Med region. SEM Operations is a highly international environment and consists of approximately 50 driven colleagues based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for Cargo tasks for Ports/Services under Sealand Scope.
Other key tasks:
• Plan and execute operational contingencies.
• Pro-actively resolve challenges avoiding cargo being left behind and improve upstream process to structurally increase the accuracy.
• Improve customer’s satisfaction by ensuring cargo is delivered as per our promise
• You need to coordinate between various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all planned units are loaded are per the promise to our customers, against the lowest possible cost.
We are looking for
A driven fast learner, with a positive attitude who shows initiative and take ownership over client cases.
You are a professional communicator, able to keep a cool head and a customer centric approach while getting things done.
As a person you are comfortable with multi-tasking whilst keeping focus on delivering quality.
Furthermore you:
• Are someone with an open mindset who can give constructive feedback, and in turn welcomes feedback as well
• Are an excellent team player
• Are fluent in English verbal and written
• Have a pro-active, customer-oriented mindset
• Are a creative problem solver with continuous improvement mindset
Experience in Supply Chain Management is a bonus and experience within operations is preferred.
The job requires shift work with weekend work and early morning/late evening shifts.
