Plant Hybrid Modelling & Analytics, part of Vestas Technology, is responsible for the products and services related to Vestas Data Offerings. This ranges across real time data collection from thousands of power plants, data storage and data analytics on a combined data warehouse and High-Performance Computing setup supporting multiple data applications for our customers. The goal is to bring down the cost of energy by leveraging the vast amount of data that Vestas collects and stores from power plants around the globe.
Plant Hybrid Modelling & Analytics is a module within Plant & Hybrid Solutions with 48 employees most of the team located in Aarhus, Denmark. We are servicing both internal and external customers around the world with a mindset of using the newest technologies to stay competitive and deliver quality products to all our customers.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex ETL pipelines, together with designing and implementing functional and performance improvements on the data warehouse
- Evaluate new technology and techniques in order to improve systems design
- Engage with first-level support partners and provide advanced troubleshooting support, and partner with development teams to ensure solutions are high performance and reliable
- Monitor and analyse the systems in order to implement optimisation strategies and maintain security policies
- Develop productivity enhancing and automation tools for systems administration activities
- Be engaged in the early stage feasibility studies of new projects working together with other engineering disciplines
- Engage in root cause session to identify potential performance issues and be a strong contributor in the continuous improvement of our systems
Qualifications
- Education in relevant field (science, technology, engineering or mathematics)
- 5 years of Data warehouse experience on MS SQL
- Solid understanding of Data Warehousing and various Data platforms
- 4-5 years of experience within general software architecture
Competencies
- Professional experience developing and maintaining real-world production systems, and a solid understanding of traditional data warehouse design and proficiency with ETL tools and solutions
- Experience with Linux, Windows and RDBMS technologies, particularly MS SQL Server
- High proficiency developing software, particularly in C#
- Experience with GIT and JIRA or similar tools
- Experience with SSIS, SSAS (MDX/DAX), SSDT + TFS, PowerShell is an advantage
- Experience working within a CI/CD process and associated tools, e.g. Octopus and Ansible, is an advantage
- Experience with Big Data, Open Source and Cloud Technologies is an advantage
