We are looking for a Loads Engineer to Prototype and Performance Testing, who is analytical and always strives after high quality.
Power Solutions Industrialisation Turbine Validation
The Prototype & Performance Testing department is responsible for planning, executing and reporting of test campaigns, and we work together with a wide range of stakeholders inside and outside Vestas. The power performance and loads test as well as other performance disciplines plays a central role in deliveries on Vestas product roadmap

Power Solutions Industrialisation Turbine Validation
The Prototype & Performance Testing department is responsible for planning, executing and reporting of test campaigns, and we work together with a wide range of stakeholders inside and outside Vestas. The power performance and loads test as well as other performance disciplines plays a central role in deliveries on Vestas product roadmap
Responsibilities
- Plan, Develop, Drive loads verification programs of prototype turbines and technologies
- Data/signal analysis, reporting of the measured data from wind turbines
- Ensure quality and deliverables from sub suppliers, typically test institutes
- Present, explain and advise design owners on the measured results
- Participate in development of tools platform and technology road map initiative
Qualifications
- Masters degree within wind, structural or mechanical engineering
- Proficient in Matlab and data analysis
- Experience within the loads verification or load measurements on wind turbines
- Knowledge DS/EN 61400-13 and wind turbine certification processes
- Knowledge of model validation, uncertainty estimation and measurement systems
- Potential to lead in a Tech Lead role and lead other in a team of engineers and technicians
Competencies
- Structured and trustworthy
- Good communications skills
- Self-motivated and can drive others
- Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
- Drivers License
