On behalf of Emerson’s Marine Solutions group, we offer you a new position as Master Data Specialist. The role will be based at the global headquarter of Emerson’s Marine Solutions group in Naestved, where you will be part of a newly established Digital Business platforms team currently including Manager Nicolai Werngreen and a Business Analyst.
As a Master Data Specialist, you will have the chance to dig into the processes, people, and tools – not least SAP - and all the data that are constantly being generated through various tools and channels. We see the master data as key driver to good decision-making, business process efficiency and for compliance and governance processes. You will – as part of a team - support the organization in making sure that it is accurate, reliable and of high quality.
The location in Naestved, Denmark includes production facilities and is global headquarter for 513 employees worldwide of which approx. 170 are in Denmark. Emerson’s Marine Solutions group also have production facilities in Ry, Denmark, Sweden, South Korea and China, as well as sales/service sites in marine strategic countries around the globe.
As the team as well as this role is newly created, the organization have realistic expectations and prioritize a fine onboarding process. You will together identify further relevant new assignments and projects along the way. Initial assignments could be e.g.

Your role and primary tasks will be:
- Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
- Together with your manager identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction
- Participate in projects within the Business Intelligence platform in a subject matter role on master data in the organization
- Ensure quality of master data in key systems incl. SAP. Development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners, incl. optimization of administrative processes and best practices to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity
- Assist in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across the operation of financial systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements
- Support implementation of technologies and processes in the organization
As the team as well as this role is newly created, the organization have realistic expectations and prioritize a fine onboarding process. You will together identify further relevant new assignments and projects along the way. Initial assignments could be e.g.
- Root cause analysis of production lead times incl. causal explanations
- Best practice analysis of system creation of materials in SAP
- Creation of a global data quality index for quality measurements
Passionate about Master Data, well-structured and with administrative interest
The ideal candidate can be recognized in the following description, but Emerson’s Marine Solutions group are also open for other backgrounds and different levels of experience:
- Practical experience with Master Data or relevant areas
- Bachelor’s Degree in economics, information technology, business administration, or equivalent practical work experience
- Fine IT-skills, preferably experienced with ERP-system (e.g. SAP) and Excel
- Able to work in an autonomous manner and to take initiatives
- Proficiency in English both orally and written is mandatory, as well as understanding of the Danish language
- Good communications skills
