Novo Nordisk Pharmatech is looking for an Associate Manager to lead an ambitious and highly engaged team in the R&D organisation at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech.

About the department
We are 30 employees in the R&D department organised in three teams, consisting of Specialists, Research Scientists and Laboratory Technicians. In R&D The department is focused on research, development and analyses improving biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The atmosphere is creative, and we always strive to improve the way we do things.

The position
As an Associate Manager you will be leading a research team which consists of 10 dedicated and talented employees. The core expertise of the team lies in product discovery and process development of purification resins, synthetic molecules and enzymes for biopharmaceutical manufacturing at Novo Nordisk and the biopharmaceutical industry. As an Associate Manager you will have a high degree of responsibility and impact on future products.
You will be in charge of setting direction and prioritizing everyday tasks as well as long term development projects. This includes ensuring optimal allocation of resources, applying cLEAN principles, and continuously taking the necessary steps to develop both team and department further. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the R&D laboratory, ensuring facilities and equipment is up to date and fit for the future. You will be part of the management group consisting of two colleague Associate Managers reporting to the R&D Director. In addition, you will be part of several cross-organisational networks of specialists and managers both within Novo Nordisk Pharmatech and Novo Nordisk.

Qualifications
First and foremost, you have proven yourself as an ambitious and experienced leader who can inspire and motivate your colleagues and employees, and deliver results. You have an engineering or academic background equivalent to a M.Sc. degree within Life Science. Experience in the interface between business development, research and development, as well as managing a laboratory will help you succeed as our new Associate Manager. Equally important is your ability to set ambitious goals, deliver as promised, and never compromise on quality. You acknowledge the value in co-creation, and understand how to inspire your colleagues to produce results together. Your ability to stay focused, even during busy periods, helps to ensure that tasks and project deliveries are properly planned and executed.
On a personal level, you possess a strong ability to build relationships and create trust from both internal and external stakeholders. You are fluent in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing. Your strong communication skills enable you to communicate clearly and engage many different stakeholders through your dedication to the details of projects and tasks, and you are capable of explaining complex topics for others to understand.
