Service Operations Service Solutions Service Engineering Project Management
The Service Solutions department is a part of the Vestas Service organisation. We are responsible for delivering service solutions on All Brands enabling Vestas’ service business to fulfill its ambitious strategic targets. The service solutions vary from parts & repair over maintenance concepts to product improvements like component life extensions, optimisations of performance and cost-out initiatives. The department holds the design responsibility for service/aftersales solutions on the products no longer being manufactured.
We deliver innovative solutions to ensure the highest possible value to Vestas’ customers in the service business. You will be part of a project management organisation with team members located at different geographical locations. We are expanding with highly qualified colleagues to meet the demand of a growing and challenging business.
Responsibilities
You will be heading one or more projects simultaneously depending on the size and complexity. In close cooperation with the technical lead you will manage your projects end-to-end, from requirement specification is initiated and until handover has been accepted by the internal costumer. Your responsibilities will cover to:
Qualifications
As it is important that you have a good fundamental understanding of machines and components, you probably hold an engineering degree within the Electrical, Mechanical or Software area, a degree as Technology Management and Marine engineer or similar combined with project manager experience. Responsibilities
You will be heading one or more projects simultaneously depending on the size and complexity. In close cooperation with the technical lead you will manage your projects end-to-end, from requirement specification is initiated and until handover has been accepted by the internal costumer. Your responsibilities will cover to:
- lead your project team and monitor that progress and performance follow the agreed time, quality and cost
- ensure to prioritise the tasks in your projects, so that people always work on the right and value adding tasks
- manage sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure they perform as agreed
- make resource estimates and ensure resources are allocated to your projects from the line organisation
- prepare and conduct Steering Committee- and project status meetings
- ensure the necessary progress in your projects and highlight deviations and issues
- actively contribute to continuous process improvement and ensure adherence to our processes
Qualifications
As it is important that you have a good fundamental understanding of machines and components, you probably hold an engineering degree within the Electrical, Mechanical or Software area, a degree as Technology Management and Marine engineer or similar combined with project manager experience. In addition:
- You have 3+ years of experience within project management, leading complex technical projects in global setup
- Solid experience with project management disciplines (i.e. scrum, waterfall, agile methods) in general is advantageous
- You have an IPMA, PRINCE2 or similar certification
- You are used to managing stakeholders including handling sub-contractors and sub-suppliers
- You are a strong communicator, who can communicate across cultures and organisational levels
- Experience from larger organisations is preferred
- You speak and write English fluently
