Manufacturing & Global Procurement Global Procurement Powertrain & Nacelles
Vestas Global Procurement is overall responsible for all supply chain management activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including leading cross-functional category teams, negotiations, cost out initiatives, category strategy development and implementation, quality and delivery performance, supplier relationship management and supplier account management.
We are part of a Global Procurement Department where the direct team is based in Denmark, China, India and Spain. Other Purchasing colleagues are also based at various locations around the globe. With the Nacelle Load & Enclosure team, you will lead an ambitious team, where your effort and ability to create results makes a difference and has a direct business impact.
In this role you will lead development of the cross-functional component team, consisting of members from R&D, Production Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing. Working across different business units you will also drive, develop and implement category strategies.

Qualifications
You have a relevant degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance or Engineering or equivalent combined with a couple of years’ experience. Alternatively, you have recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration or similar and have a passion for the sustainable industry and for working with global procurement. Responsibilities
- Optimise the current supply base including the total landed cost base
- Ensure best in class performance and supply chain set-up from an end-to-end perspective
- Drive continuous improvement programs both internally and at the suppliers with special focus on total cost saving initiatives, supplier optimisation and component standardisation
- Ensure adherence to KPI's set by Global Sourcing regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation, sustainability and complexity reduction
- Lead selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting of potential suppliers within the category, as well as participate in development projects
- Lead your suppliers with a Supplier Relationship Management perspective
- Continuously analyse your Supplier Base performance and look for opportunities to optimise
Qualifications
You have a relevant degree in either Supply Chain Management, Finance or Engineering or equivalent combined with a couple of years’ experience. Alternatively, you have recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration or similar and have a passion for the sustainable industry and for working with global procurement. In addition, we expect:
- High drive, excellent business acumen and an end-to-end perspective
- Technical understanding and curiosity to "know how things work"
- Experienced within sourcing is an advantage
- Convincing with strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills including fluent written and spoken English
- Advanced IT skills covering the MS Office Suite and preferably SAP or another ERP system
- Experience with Legal contracts (Purchase Agreements, NDA's etc.) is an advantage
