Job Description
At Danfoss Drives we are currently looking for a Technical Opportunity Manager (m/f/d) Drives located preferably in Germany, or alternatively in Denmark. You will manage and grow the drives business targeted for Global Key Accounts and Original Equipment Manufacturers with focus on the chemical industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for direct sales activities support as well as technical identification, qualification and business evaluation of standard, customized or project-based drive development opportunities. You will lead the technical evaluation of projects and solutions, check specifications and clarifications with the customer to provide high-level customer care in close cooperation with the Global Key Account Manager. Further, you will coordinate and communicate internal activities when a customized product, product adaptation or product change is needed. Additionally, you will act as project manager internally and/or with third party suppliers, such as panel builders or system integrators.
Along these processes you will work closely with the Global Key Account Managers, R&D and Manufacturing to coordinate activities and help to negotiate commercial aspects of project design and release phases.
Your profile:
For this position, you have a university degree in (electrical) engineering or equivalent educational background and substantial work experience in technical support / application engineering in the fields of drives, servo, automation or similar. Additionally, we are looking for:

Your profile:
For this position, you have a university degree in (electrical) engineering or equivalent educational background and substantial work experience in technical support / application engineering in the fields of drives, servo, automation or similar. Additionally, we are looking for:
- Experience with high power, high speed permanent magnet and induction motor applications, experience in medium voltage a plus
- Experience with integration of drives in control systems
- First experience in Project Management
- Understanding of chemical industry a plus
- Fluent in English, German a plus
- Willingness to travel for 40%
