Job Description

Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for a Design Engineer in Nordborg. Your role will be to design and document different types of valves and components in accordance with customer requirements and take product designs from idea to market launch. Furthermore, you will execute and coordinate R&D activities within a specific project, including all relevant activities and documentation. Preferable you have some experience with design of mechanical products with continues focus on improving quality, cost and time to market by use of simulation, fast prototyping and platform-based development. As a person you are innovative, fact based, quality and result oriented, positive, open-minded and a good team player who can interact with others, across borders and cultures. You can expect approximately 10-20 days of travel per year, primarily to customers, partners and suppliers.

Background and skills
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering or similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Preferable 2 years’ experience with design of mechanical products
  • Experience with valve designs
  • Knowledge about simulation and fast prototyping
  • Basic project coordinator experience
  • Experience with 3D CAD and simulation
  • Fluent and comprehensive in English
