In Global Business Finance, we are establishing a Center for Analytics (CfA) because we believe in utilising data and analytics to drive tangible business value.
We are looking for an experienced manager to lead the CfA - and you are the right fit, if it motivates you to build an analytics team ground-up, fight for a data-driven culture and continuously push the boundary for how to create automated solutions and how to utilize data and analytics in new innovate ways for driving business value.
The job
As the CfA Manager, you will be responsible for the success of the CfA by ensuring that your team delivers data and analytics solutions and enablement that drives tangible business value.
The ideal candidate has a profound understanding of finance and is able to discuss KPIs and business impact with business stakeholders, but is also able to discuss data structure, analytical methods and tool landscape with analysts, data scientists and IT.
Your key responsibilities are:
Lead, develop and manage a growing team of Business Analysts and continuously retain the right mix of analytic talents and skill sets Set the strategic direction for how data and analytics should be used within Business Finance Fuel a culture of data and analytics by collaborating with stakeholders to ensure solutions are being embedded in the business Create and implement the roadmap for the CfA team Ensure alignment with stakeholders on priorities and meet service-level requirements Continuously drive improvement in ways of working with data and analytics - both within the CfA team and across the organisation (e.g. analytical methods, available tool stock and best-practices) Drive and execute strategic analytics projects that involves multiple business areas such as forecasting Consult and assist the Business Partner teams with ad-hoc analytical projects including advising on established best-practice Develop and automate robust dashboards and datasets Teach the wider Business Finance organisation tools and techniques to help increase the general data and analytics maturity
Your qualifications
Minimum 5 years of management experience with a track-record of providing tangible results Experience building, developing and motivating a highly successful and highly skilled team A structured and analytical approach to solving problems and a talent for identifying pragmatic solutions Profound experience within Finance, ideally in a pharmaceutical company Hands on and understanding of practical application of data and analytics, ideally also hands-on experience with Power BI and Alteryx or similar tools. A curious and creative mindset with the ability to understand and apply analytics and technology concepts to conceptualise new solutions Strong ability to communicate with and influence business leaders as well as building relationships A high level of integrity, open, trustworthy and always serving as a good role model

The overall direction for CfA is anchored in the FP&A team and VP Business Finance and closely aligned with the business partners in EU+, Region International, Thrombosis and manufacturing. You will have 6 direct reports, some of them partly working out of a market as a business partner. As a leader you motivate and manage the team. You are responsible for hiring decisions, training and development and appraisals of the team.
