The department
You will join the Business Optimization department, which is responsible for business analysis and controlling related to all functions - from sourcing and purchasing to sales and retail. In addition, we develop optimization tools and proposals and ensure the implementation of the decided initiatives.
We are a team of five Business Analysts dedicated to ensuring the continued success of our business. Joining us, you become part of a dynamic work environment characterised by an informal tone and a good sense of humour.

The job
As Business Analyst, you have a continuous focus on optimizing the business through tool development and analysis. Your primary responsibility is to understand and improve data and KPIs for reporting as well as develop optimization and reporting tools to measure business performance and processes.

More specifically, your job includes:

  • Develop and maintain data and reporting, mainly in Excel and Power BI
  • Identifying areas and tools that help increase efficiency and automation of processes
  • Setting up and maintain automated data processes
  • Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Preparing material and analyses together with different business functions
  • Conduct training sessions in the use and understanding of reporting tools
  • Data validation
  • Ensure knowledge sharing across departments.

The scope of your role may evolve over time, allowing you to gradually take on more of a business partner role, focussing on following up on the performance and supporting the business as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

You are either a recent graduate from a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree within business, finance or IT with a busines focus, or you have a few years of experience. In addition, we are looking for the following:

  • Interest and curiosity in data and process development
  • Excellent skills in Excel
  • Knowledge in SQLs and VBA coding is an advantage, but not a requirement - in the job, there is room to learn and develop skills within Excel, Power BI, data understanding, SQLs and VBA coding etc.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Your curiosity urges you to go beyond merely executing your tasks and also challenge existing ways of working and looking for new solutions. You are motivated by working with targets and deadlines, and you act with flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

On the one hand, you like to dive into the numbers and figures to understand the business and the underlying data structure. On the other hand, you enjoy interacting with people in the organisation to understand, where there is a need for new tools or process improvements. It comes natural to you to share your knowledge, and you are focused on getting everyone on board by explaining complex scenarios in a clear and user-friendly way. This role has ties to several other functions, and consequently, it is key that you can build and maintain relationships, both nationally as well as internationally.
