We offer


The FBP position supports the regional management team to manage existing business and support profitable growth. An integral part of the position’s scope is to own the Maersk Operating System (MOS) ensuring the relevant audience has the right material at the right time, on a quarterly and monthly basis. The FBP will work with a handful of Logistics Products and engage with Regional product owners.

Purpose of the Role:
• Ensures the drivers and levers for achieving the business targets are well understood and applied effectively
• Manages improvement initiatives to ensure that the financial results reflect a true and fair representation of the underlying logistics business to visualize financial exposures
• Ensures timely reporting of periodical P&L data to form part of the MOS cycle
• Performs financial modelling and analysis related to CAPEX, Leases, and M&A (not exhaustive), to be included in investment proposals, performance tracking, and benefit realisation
• Supports the roll-out of the company wide finance transformation to the European finance organisation

Key responsibilities


Your responsibilities will be centered around the performance management and growth planning/forecasting of the logistics products across the European Areas.

Maersk Operating System (MOS) responsibilities
• Develop and maintain the structure for monthly presentation materials for products and area performance management
• Establish 3-months P&L and volume outlooks per product
• Manage relevant input is received and reviewed and included in the MOS material

Rolling Forecast (ROFO) responsibilities
• Own timeline and task distribution to Areas across products
• Develop reporting capabilities across the P&L including SG&A, CAPEX, and productivity development
• Ensure all strategic initiatives and investments are included in the forecast for the relevant product
• Consolidate forecast per product and Europe Area to ensure a coherent growth story for Europe as a Region

Other responsibilities
• Support development and review of strategic logistics initiatives and investments
• Develop weekly volume/revenue reporting to performance manage growth
• Ensure quality and integrity in sales performance reporting
• Establish monthly pre-close estimates

We are looking for


The ideal candidate holds a Master degree in Finance or Economics or equivalent education.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of work experience from a similar position within business control, performance management, or equivalent.

We expect you to have an 'analytic mindset' as well as a holistic perspective; you can zoom in on the relevant details while never losing sight of the big picture.

You:

• Must possess financial acumen to understand business and process impact on financial results

• Must be able to explain complex business scenarios to stakeholders across varying levels of the organization

• Use of strong analytical skills to improve performance of products through timely reporting of financial data

• Build effective partnerships with critical stakeholders and teams across the organisation

• Financial controller, analyst background, and/or working experience
