You will be part of Ocean Products Finance, a diverse and motivated team with a strong desire to push forward the transformation of our ocean business, generating value to our customers and sustainable returns to our shareholders.
You will spar with the Ocean Value Added Services Team to optimize our portfolio with products that solve real customer needs and identify opportunities for growing further into the customer’s share of wallet in collaboration with our Logistics and Services Product owners.
As a finance professional, you will enjoy being close to the execution of our strategy, influencing the outcomes in a direct, sustainable manner. This role will give you the opportunity to contribute on the development of the ways of working for finance in the future. You will thrive in an environment intellectually and culturally engaging, with highly skilled colleagues from different nationalities working in our headquarters, as well as will finance and business colleagues in our offices across the world.
Key Responsibilities
You will support and engage in business decision making within the Ocean Value Added space, by providing deep dive analysis, management reporting, performance management and financial forecasts.
You will understand the product life cycles and be able to provide insights for driving the performance simultaneously of different products in multiple stages of development.
Your key responsibilities also include:
• Understanding and clearly articulating the present and future state of the ocean value added services to enable data-based decision making
• Providing recommendations on course of action, through the different stages of the products’ life cycles.
• Being accountable for timely, high quality and fit-for-purpose financial reporting and analysis to key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance to accounting principles for the different products in scope.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate for the role will have a strong background in high-impact finance roles, with a proven track record of driving business results through financial insights.
A master’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration combined with at 5+ years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Financial Planning, Controlling, Performance management or Business Administration.
Key competencies are:
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling engagement and influence on multiple stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Proven analytical skills, being able to zoom in on the relevant details, while never losing sight of the big picture. Conveying insights extracted from data into concise, commonly understood business language for effective decision-making.
• Has a visible drive for results, inspires others to strive higher and does not bind by functional and leadership level boundaries. To succeed in our team, you would benefit from having a self-starter attitude and a growth mindset, constantly developing your talents through learning from challenges, from others and from trying new things.
