About the job
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Knowledge- and expertise-based:
- Train senior management on how to integrate Risk Management into their decision-making process; promote and facilitate enforcement of strategic risk management;
- Train Risk & Compliance professionals around the organization on how to use the tools and systems existing in the policy documents, notably the Operations Handbook Volume;
- Train all DRC staff on the importance of Risk Management for their day to day activities and facilitate the execution of Risk Management discussions and workshops;
- Initiate and lead Risk Assessments on major DRC projects (ERP Implementation, Deployment programs, Large scale projects);
- Ensure adequate risk oversight is provided to the relevant DRC, such as Risk Management Committee, DRC’s Secretary General, its Executive Management Team, Executive Committee and its Executive and Audit Committees through periodic reports;
- Report to management on improvement areas for Risk Management practices in specific Country Operations;
- Facilitate formulating DRC Risk Appetite Statements by appropriate oversight bodies; encourage a clear process of cascading risk-related decisions and guidance;
- Coordinate Risk Management activities led by relevant matter experts in the areas of Legal Compliance and Anti-fraud and corruption as well as Compliance assessment processes;
- Coordinate a network of Risk Management professionals located around DRC’s operations;
- Cooperate with POCs (Program and Operations Coordinators) and Senior Advisors, Operations, in aligning the annual cycles of Risk Management; support POCs and Senior Advisors with technical knowledge and support Country Offices and Regions on request of POCs.
Coordinating and administrative:
- If requested by POCs, support operations, divisions and department in the execution of Risk Assessment by leading and facilitating risk management workshops.
- If requested by HQ departments, support the HQ in the execution of Risk Assessment by leading, facilitating, and documenting risk management workshops.
- Act as secretary for DRC’s Risk Management Committee and coordinate their meetings chaired by the Head of the Safety, Risk & Compliance Secretariat;
- Collect Risk Management best practices around our operations and decide in the definition of strategies and responses;
- Update DRC’s Risk Management Framework and align to the latest best practices in the sector;
- Update and maintain the Operations Handbook Volume on Risk Management (i.e. the policies and procedures for Risk Management) to ensure the systems and tools provided are valuable management tools;
- Coordinate access rights to the risk management system/platform;
- Update content of Risk-related Sites on the DRC official intranet.
About you
Experience and skills:
Required:
- Masters’ degree in relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration) or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of seven years relevant working experience in an international environment
- Proactivity: the candidate must demonstrate ability to introduce improvements and provide information even when unsolicited
- Understanding of basic concepts behind Enterprise Risk Management
- MS Office savvy, especially strong in Excel
- Applications savvy, enjoys working with systems, access rights, SharePoint etc.
- Enjoys ordering and simplifying processes; works well alone conceptually, as well as in the consultations process, a strong communicator.
- Fluency in oral and written English
Desired:
- Systems and IT experience, for example implementation of new software will be an asset
- Familiarity with Risk Management applications or audit software will be an asset
- Relevant certifications (CRMA; CIA, CFE, ACCA etc.)

We offer
Contract length: Permanent
Workplace: Borgergade 10, Copenhagen
Start date: 1 October or as soon as possible
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between DRC and HK or AC (depending on education). If AC, the candidate is hired at “fuldmægtig” level. This is a national position for which local terms and conditions apply.
