About this opportunity


Nordea’s transformation, as well as the general changes happening across the financial services sector, has significant implications for Nordea’s People Agenda. In recent years, Nordea has taken measures to ensure that the critical people levers – culture, competencies, performance and reward processes – are in place to support the ability to improve performance.

Integrating D&I into these critical people levers, many activities have been launched, one being a strong code of conduct for all employees of Nordea, that clearly states what kind of company Nordea is in terms of rejecting discrimination, unbiased performance measures and being an inclusive workplace. Furthermore, Nordea works with unconscious bias, understanding that the best way to develop an inclusive culture and diverse workforce is to create awareness of the unconscious bias and find ways to mitigate it through targeted processes and actions. Our ambition is, to bring D&I to the next level and make it a fully integral part of Nordea Group.

Consequently, the Diversity & Inclusion Specialist role will develop, drive and lead D&I related activities across the Group in collaboration with key stakeholders.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Nordea by enabling strong D&I activities, measures and results and carrying out an essential revitalisation of the current D&I capabilities through a strong and ambitious D&I strategy with tangible goals, easy to measure results and a way to unify diversity and inclusion across the entire group.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and leading execution of company-wide programs to support diversity and inclusion
  • Ensuring D&I lens is incorporated in all people related topics as Employer Branding, Talent Management and People Development interventions i.e. Graduate Program etc. and apply recent trends
  • Work targeted with metrics, trends and forecast to ensure constant growth and acceleration of D&I
  • Implement initiatives enabling an inclusive and comfortable place to work, learn and grow regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or ability variation
  • Communicate frequently with Business Areas/Group Functions and executive stakeholders to understand the unique needs of our workforce

Your background and qualifications include:

  • Have a master’s degree in business, legal, human resource management or one of the social sciences
  • Have 3+ years of experience working in diversity or related human resources function
  • Have successfully worked strategically with a D&I agenda and proven track record of D&I results
  • Have outstanding influencing skills and the ability to create followship through stakeholder engagement
  • Have hands-on experience designing company policies like anti-discrimination and equal employer opportunity
  • A passion for Diversity & Inclusion and always on top of recent trends initiatives
  • Have strong analytical skills and being able to translate analysis into strategy, KPIs and actions
  • Have solid communication skills and compassionate nature

You will be based out of the Group Talent function reporting into the Head of Talent Development & Succession and be in close collaboration with the Head of Diversity & Inclusion.
