Are you ready to provide first-class compliance support to the SGL Group, as our new Compliance Officer? Based on our virtues, you will play a meaningful role in our compliance program and support the entire organisation and work closely with stakeholders from our commercial activities.
The position
We offer an exciting and rewarding role where you will be part of a dedicated Global Legal and Compliance team responsible for driving our compliance program, including group compliance requirements, GDPR initiatives, and governance-related processes. Is that you?The positionContinuously improve and optimise our group compliance and governance program with our virtues as the basis Ensure documentation processes for all group transactions with high compliance risk and implement and monitor control systems concerning compliance with regulatory rules and internal policies Perform audits of our customers and suppliers to ensure such follows our group and local requirements within, e.g., code of conduct, human rights, anti-corruption, health and safety and GDPR and perform the required audits from our customers Work collaboratively with IT Security, Finance, Sustainability and the Global Legal team to identify and manage risks related to general compliance requirements and regulation and data protection risks Make recommendations on improving compliance-related processes and/or procedures related to the relevant departments Support the SGL Group within sanctions and embargo requirements Create and perform employee training sessions on compliance requirements Continuously improve and optimise our group compliance and governance program with our virtues as the basisEnsure documentation processes for all group transactions with high compliance risk and implement and monitor control systems concerning compliance with regulatory rules and internal policiesPerform audits of our customers and suppliers to ensure such follows our group and local requirements within, e.g., code of conduct, human rights, anti-corruption, health and safety and GDPR and perform the required audits from our customersWork collaboratively with IT Security, Finance, Sustainability and the Global Legal team to identify and manage risks related to general compliance requirements and regulation and data protection risksMake recommendations on improving compliance-related processes and/or procedures related to the relevant departmentsSupport the SGL Group within sanctions and embargo requirementsCreate and perform employee training sessions on compliance requirements
You will report to the Global General Counsel and join the Global Legal team.
We offer flexible working hours. You will be working in our office in Viby J or at our headquarter in Hvidovre.
What we expect you to bring
With this great opportunity, we are looking for the right person to join us. You aren't perfect, and neither are we; however, to guide you as to whether you will thrive with us, here are some specific requirements we are looking for:What we expect you to bringMinimum 3 years experience from a compliance position or similar, preferably as an in-house counsel, compliance officer or from a law firm Highly interested in compliance and related requirements You have a good understanding of processes, identifying and managing the associated risks, and, importantly, the desire to work with such You have an analytical and structured approach to solving tasks on your own and with others You have effective communication skills and the ability to adjust to a level that suits the target groups with which you are communicating Fluent Danish and English speaking and writing As a person, you are responsible, diligent, and bring a good mood.
