Maersk Technology wants to strengthen and expand our Technology M&A Team to meet the demands of both current and future acquisitions. We are looking for a Senior M&A Technology Business Analyst with a proven track record of in-depth M&A integration experience, problem solving and critical thinking.

You will work closely with our Tech M&A colleagues, Corporate Development Teams, Integration Management Offices (IMO’s), external stakeholders and with our standing Tech organization to help elicit, coordinate and execute the requirements that support business initiatives, integration efforts and delivery of synergy targets.

The incumbent may be required to manage several M&A transactions at once and teaching others M&A best practices will be a consistent part of your week. Your direct participation & involvement will involve all phases of the M&A life cycle from pre-due diligence, through post-merger integration and finally with hand off to the standing business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to gain a full understanding of the vision, scope, synergy targets and benefits required throughout the M&A project life cycle; including due diligence, requirements definition, planning, development, testing, training, operational readiness, change management and ongoing support.
• Leading the definition, prioritization and management of any Functional and Non-Functional requirements for multiple M&A activities
• Defining the as-is and to-be states, service needs, scope and business outcomes
• Creating requirements specifications, visual models, facilitating elicitation sessions and using the necessary business analyst tools.

• Taking ownership, educating and supporting stakeholders in business process mapping, process analysis and re-engineering to improve integration, operational and service outcomes on large, complex regional & global projects
• Working with stakeholders to build a shared roadmap which balances functional, non-functional, customer commitments and synergy building considerations
• Bring program management, including cross-functional collaboration, schedule development/management, risk management and status reporting to each integration effort
• Work with Scrum teams and Portfolio/Platform Managers to plan and optimize sprint execution through Lean strategies and Agile methodologies
• Identify and develop cost metrics, prioritization & recharge processes
• Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders in other Maersk Technology teams as well as those within the acquired company’s Tech organisation
• Directly manage Tech stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are met on time and within budget

We are Looking for

• We need an excellent communicator, problem-solver and critical thinker.
• At least 5 years M&A business analyst integration experience
• M&A Certification and continuing education commitment is preferred (M&A Leadership Council, Pritchett, etc)
• M&A Technology leadership, focus and experience is highly valued
• Practical knowledge and understanding of the M&A lifecycle
• Ability to prioritize workstream efforts and move quickly and decisively between competing tasks
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and quickly changing environment with multiple stakeholders
• Finding creative and alternative paths to navigate organizational or operational challenges and/or barriers.
• An instinct for knowing when and how to involve the right people at the right time to achieve an optimal outcome
• Ability to prioritize workstream efforts and move quickly and decisively between competing tasks
• Creating alignment, ownership and accountability around the solution
• Bringing a collaborative, supportive and solution focused approach to all situations
• Experience with complex problem solving, delivering insight and providing recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and presentation skills
• A proven track record of: PMO & IMO Leadership, Strategic & Operational Planning, Change Management Leadership, Process Optimization & Program Management
