My name is Miles Johnson, Head of Data Platform, and I am looking for a BI Analyst to join Svitzer in a newly established role, where you will have an exciting chance to become a part of my team in the data unit.

As a BI Analyst you are a data expert bringing both data, technical and business knowledge together to facilitate delivery of BI and analytics solutions across systems. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of various business areas and the data generated in these allowing you to navigate conversations on how to enable data-driven optimization with our stakeholders.

As our new BI Analyst, you will be part of a team that has the overarching goal to make Svitzer a more data-driven company. In this role you will get an outstanding opportunity for developing our data capabilities and governance further together with me and our team and other stakeholders in Svitzer.

Key responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to gather and describe end user reporting and dashboard requirements
  
  
• Ensure efficient mapping and implementation of requirements for BI and analytics between business areas and technology platforms
  
  
• When validating requirements with stakeholders you keep a focus on the value that the BI and analytics solutions will bring
  
  
• Support in defining data governance across the company
  
  
• Create a reporting catalogue as well as data definitions and use cases for the reports
  
  
• Contribute to the BI strategy and be able to communicate this clearly to stakeholders
  
  
• Great written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate technically complex challenges to both technical and non-technical colleagues
  
  
• Build a trusted relationship with stakeholders with emphasis on problem solving in a collaborative way
  
  
• Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks
  
  

We are looking for

Someone who is passionate about enabling data-driven optimization of various processes and performance dialogues using data.

We are implementing a new ERP system and your initial assignment would be to join the project with responsibility for collecting the reporting requirements coming out of the different implementation tracks. I.e., starting from the existing reporting catalogue reflecting business ideas and understanding how it fits into our reporting strategy. You would be working with various business areas (e.g., finance, procurement and technical maintenance) and regions as well as different delivery teams in refining the requirements, validating business value, and making sure we deliver to it. You are expected to push the global standardization agenda within the reporting area aligned with the overall project goals.

You are an experienced BI Analyst and have solid experience within the field. You are organized and have experience with delivering reporting needs through different systems depending on the type of requirement and user persona. You challenge ideas in a constructive manner, assuring we deliver value through BI and analytics aligned to agreed reporting strategy. Experience with developing dashboards in Power BI is an advantage.

You are analytical and solution oriented and like to work with data-related challenges in a high pace environment. You navigate well between routine tasks and project-based work, and you are structured, organized, and can work independently as the expert of the field.

You encourage a team spirit and work in a collaborative manner with all stakeholders using your excellent interpersonal relationship development skills. It is important you communicate in a clear, concise, professional, and direct way and are fluent in English.
