About the department

Our department, Primary Packaging Development (located in Bagsværd and a part of Sourcing Operations in Devices & Supply Chain Management) consists of 20 highly dedicated specialists and development engineers organized in two teams. Our purpose is development and maintenance of primary packaging for all drug products and drug substances in Novo Nordisk.

The department has a large contact surface both internally in Novo Nordisk towards development and production and externally towards suppliers. Naturally, we spend a great deal of time documenting our activities. By doing that, we are always ready for inspection from any health authority.

The position

You will be responsible for primary packaging with a technical focus on cap components and documentation related to specifications, drawings, tests and risk management. Your key responsibility is to ensure that our cap components and related documentation supports any need in drug or device development.

Developing and optimizing components and systems that provides better process ability, drug protection, risk profile or patient features will also be a part of the role. You will also contribute to continued work process improvements and documentation structures to increase efficiency and compliance

You will have an extensive stakeholder landscape and you will be in close dialogue with colleagues in R&D, Production and overall Supply Chain to assent to the requirements. As a supplement you will have external stakeholders focusing in negotiations toward component suppliers.

You will act as subject matter expert and your technical skills will be called upon when our production facilities or QC encounter an unexpected event that needs to be investigated. In addition, market feedback, new legislation and supply chain changes require your involvement.

Qualifications

You hold an academic degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or similar. You have some years’ experience within the area of aseptic filling either in a process support or a material development area.

Preferably, you have knowledge about packaging systems for injectables in the pharmaceutical industry.

In addition, you have experience with quality specifications, safety risk management and test documentation. Knowledge within medical devices and pharmaceutical production processes is a great advantage. Handling complex works flows and suggest improvements on work processes comes natural to you.

As a person you are self-driven, responsible and solution-oriented. You enjoy working in a team and contribute actively to the positive atmosphere where we value a good sense of humor and a trusting, engaging environment. As you will cooperate broadly with many stakeholders is important that you have excellent collaboration and communication skills. You are fluent in English, verbal as well as written.
