Are you a digital native with a flair for bringing people together at virtual and face to face meetings across time zones and cultures? If you can say yes to these questions, you might be Clinical Meeting Management’s next Associate Clinical Meeting Planner.

The Clinical Meeting Management Department is in need of a Associate Clinical Meeting Planner who will specialise in Cvent, becoming the go-to team member to field queries and eventually take on a coordination role. We have recently expanded to absorb Medical Content creation so new team members can expect to join a large and dynamic team dedicated to delivery of the industry’s most successful Investigator Meetings in both virtual and in person formats.

In Clinical Drug Development, we are responsible for managing drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure sound medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions to authorities by ensuring that the clinical meeting process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations, and business ethics. We are looking for an experienced meeting planner who can help us embed best-practice and innovation in our Investigator and Results meetings.

This is a fast-paced role that requires a flexible mindset. You will drive your own workload based on your assigned meetings, so you need to anticipate your next task without being directed. Openness to innovation and curiosity are key attributes for success in this role. As an Associate Clinical Meeting Planner your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Taking on ownership of logistics project teams delivering clinical meetings as part of our clinical trials
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders across the globe
  • Driving alignment with global Cvent Administrators on behalf of CDD
  • Processing Cvent support queries for HQ and managing supplier relationships
  • Leading all aspects of our meeting planning from initiation to debrief and final reporting
  • Recommending creative/interactive meeting formats to ensure a dynamic meeting agenda with a high level of participant interaction
  • Processing contracts, project agreements, RFP’s
  • Building event websites, coordinating event technology
  • Delivering process optimisation across our portfolio

Qualification:

Bachelors or Master’s in event management, business administration, marketing, communication, or hospitality management preferred.

Experience in planning and executing large scale and complex international meetings/events is a must, preferably in a clinical research capacity. Project management experience with a proven track record, and preferably experience from working in a project oriented, international matrix organisation welcomed. Content development for virtual meetings, experience with adult education and contracting of services highly valued.

The Department:

Located in Clinical Drug Development, Clinical Meeting Management was formed in March 2020. A team of Meeting Planners, Medical Content Specialist’s and Medical Content Delivery Specialists are assisted by a satellite team of Medical Illustrators to deliver more than 70 Clinical Meeting a year for the Key Project Areas in Clinical Drug Development. Our meetings are a key touchpoint on the learning journeys of each site staff member taking part in our clinical trials. We are at the forefront of virtual meetings and using digital innovations in our face-to-face meetings.
