You have a strong technical background within in vivo work, and you have an education as either in vivo lab technician or animal technician. You like working both with animal husbandry and in vivo work and you have a strong sense of details when executing animal experiments. The Lab Animal Research team consists of three animal technicians and three in vivo lab technicians. We are responsible for the execution of all our internal animal studies - we run in vivo PK/PD studies, efficacy studies, model development, PK Studies and tox studies. We are responsible for the animal welfare and legal compliance internally and we have a strong focus on the 3Rs and culture of care. Our team is characterized by high flexibility and a collaborative and knowledge sharing mindset.
The team is part of the In Vivo Biology & Safety department, which is responsible for preclinical in vivo pharmacology studies as well as early safety assessment of new drug candidates. We work with rodent models of inflammatory skin conditions and all teams contribute with their expertise to develop new drugs for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases.

Your role will be:
Animal husbandry responsibilities:
- Drive high standards for animal husbandry in full legislative compliance
- Together with our three animal technicians you will be responsible for animal husbandry and maintenance in our animal facility including weekend and public holiday shifts
- Strive to improve animal welfare in accordance with the 3R's and implement them at every given opportunity
In vivo technician responsibilities:
- Review and contribute to protocols and give input on revisions to the study director
- Take the overall operational responsibility for an in vivo study including planning and alignment of the operational in vivo work
- Communicate across functions to secure smooth and flexible conduct of in vivo studies
- Ensure that samples, data, and protocol deviations are adequately captured and communicated
- Help with the reporting of the studies you are responsible for
- Collaborate with our scientists, technicians and students
We expect as a minimum
- Laboratory technician or animal technician specialized within laboratory animals
- Must at least hold a FELASA B or equivalent licence for animal experimental work
- In depth competencies of laboratory animal husbandry
- Solid hands on experience with in vivo work
- Ability to combine and explore new applications of existing and developing techniques
- The ability to perform laboratory calculations such as doses, concentrations and solutions
- Mastery of English at work proficiency level
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
