What you can expect as Coordinator Trade Compliance & Customs:

The Global Customs & Trade Compliance Department is one of the pillars of Integrated Supply Chain, with a strong connection towards Logistics, Production, Commercial, Legal, Finance and the other departments within Integrated Supply Chain (Supply planning, Demand planning, Production planning and Material planning)

The Coordinator Trade Compliance & Customs is responsible and accountable for all Customs, Trade Compliance and Tax Stamps processes in our Danish factories and entities.

You provide operational solutions in case of issues with customs & global Trade. You also continuously look for ways of improving our processes so we can work in a more efficient manner.

Other tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Process Owner for Customs & Trade Compliance in our Danish factories and entities
  • Owner of the Customs & Excise licenses
  • Excise warehouses / Transit / Inward Processing / …
  • Reporting of Customs processes
  • SPOC for Danish Customs authorities
  • Specialist in Customs and Excise legislation
  • Follow up on Clearances and non Clearances of Customs documents
  • Handling of customs issues (complaints, customs files…) ;
  • A SAP Super User
  • Project related support (testing of new customs system, tendering procedures,…);
  • Follow up on KPI’s
  • OTIF reporting
  • Non Clearances
  • Customs & Excise duties
  • Tax Stamps specialist for Danish factories
  • Ordering tax stamps
  • Monthly reporting tax stamps overview
  • Audit the documented Customs, Trade Compliance & Tax stamps procedures in the different production locations in Denmark
  • Backup ordering tax stamps other European markets

Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):

You are accustomed to working in an international company as a Teamplayer collaborating with colleagues from different locations and internal and external stakeholders. You are enthusiastic, accurate and assertive. You work with a strong drive, getting your energy from achieving your goals.

You possess good business acumen and demonstrate excellent communication skills as you interact on different levels.

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in Logistics and /or Customs – a Finance background is certainly a plus.
  • Knowledge of transportation (experience in transportation or logistics environment – CMR regulations – Incoterms )
  • Knowledge of customs ( export-declarations, transit of goods, certificates of origin, preferential agreements, global trade, customs compliancy..)
  • Knowledge of EMCS (Excise Management & Control System) and excise legislation is a strong asset
  • You have a strong connection with Global Trade, Customs and you are interested in Customs Legislation
  • Strong administrative skills and very accurate.
  • Proactive and pragmatic;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Danish; and take lead in communications and meeting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA
  • Excel skills above average / BI-reporting knowledge is a plus
  • You are process-driven and have experience in process-mapping / instructions
  • You think in terms of Process-improvement
  • Some Project management skills are certainly an advantage
  • You are willing to travel to our factories in Assens and Holstebro (when located in Gentofte) on a regular basis.
  • The function is a Full-time assignment
