Join our team as “Business Development Consultant (m/f/d)” in Munich, Germany or remotely anywhere in Europe.
The Business Development Consultant role is multi-skilled in terms of deep and wide range of IC expertise and experience as well as strong articulation skills, relationship skills, uncovering and understanding our customers markets and chip design challenges. The role requires a full understanding of the key values and key features of all the IC design flow from architecture to manufacturing. The ability to connect with the business and technical value for executives is important in order to articulate them clearly. Your objective is to motivate the customer executives to agree to engage on the maximum number of siemens EDA products, including the staging of multiple deployment steps.
After achieving executive level buys-in, the role requires you to orchestrate and co-ordinate more detailed, next level of technical discussions and projects with siemens EDA product experts. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with siemens EDA product architects and AEs is mandatory.

The role requires a full understanding of the key values and key features of all the IC design flow from architecture to manufacturing. The ability to connect with the business and technical value for executives is important in order to articulate them clearly. Your objective is to motivate the customer executives to agree to engage on the maximum number of siemens EDA products, including the staging of multiple deployment steps.
After achieving executive level buys-in, the role requires you to orchestrate and co-ordinate more detailed, next level of technical discussions and projects with siemens EDA product experts. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with siemens EDA product architects and AEs is mandatory.
You’ll help our customers drive digital innovation by
- Insert siemens EDA tools into flows with competitive tools so that they add most value for the customer, maximize the siemens EDA footprint and minimizes the need for competitive tools.
- Isolate and protect established siemens EDA tools where they already are established by continuous flow improvements within the constraints of current tool and services capabilities.
- Inform siemens EDA product divisions about requirements for better and more continuous flows, identify services opportunities for more design process continuity and efficiency.
- Understand competitive tools well enough to minimize the need for their use and maximize utility of siemens EDA product also in the context of comprehensive competitive offerings.
- Document key flows and develop concepts for continuous process improvement.
What you need to realize what matters.
- Proven skills and experience in large and complex IC designs, in particular with respect to the over-all design flow on a management level.
- Track record of successful engagements.
- Hands-on experience with chip design by having been member of or coordinating a design team, aka industry experience.
- Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry.
- Good understanding all IC flows (including tools from other EDA companies) and challenges on the different technology nodes.
- Good understanding of different IC market sectors, such as automotive, IoT, AI/ML, etc.
- Very strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Working level connections with Tier IC companies important.
- Strong team player and leadership skills.
- Goal seeking and high achievement mentality.
