Senior Sustainability Manager

The position
Want to head up sustainability at corporate level and be responsible for a wide range of initiatives including leading the development and execution of sustainability programmes and strategies worldwide?
Then you are our new Senior Sustainability Manager. You will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with management, customers, and employees to execute ALK’s sustainability strategy, with plenty of room for adding your personal touch.

You are a strong communicator and possess good business acumen. Furthermore, you have natural authority and tenacity, coupled by an ability to make complicated matters simple. We expect that you have the following skills:
The department/team
You will head up a newly established unit with reference to the SVP of Human Resources. With you, the sustainability team will consist of two people, with a broad responsibility for ensuring that ALK meets sustainability-related targets.
We always try to develop our competences and processes in order to meet the needs of the patients and all stakeholders, internally as well as externally. We are driven by a high level of professionalism, integrity, an open-minded approach and contributing to an inspiring and fun working environment together with colleagues.
The Senior Sustainability Manager will have a global reach and work closely together with the Board of Management and other global functions and stakeholders vital to the sustainability agenda. The position is located at the ALK headquarters in Hørsholm.

Fields of responsibility
- Develop and execute strategies to address ALK’s sustainability targets
- Define, develop and manage a portfolio of activities aimed at achieving ALK’s short- and long-term sustainability goals
- Communicate internally about sustainability as well as educate, inspire, lead and challenge the organisation in CSR/sustainability matters
- Conduct risk assessments, competitor analysis and keep senior management informed about shortcomings
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of sustainability programmes, follow new CSR trends and create benchmarks
- Prepare materials for the sustainability committee meetings and lead the annual sustainability report process
- Support Investor Relations and Corporate Communications with regards to external communication about sustainability
Your qualifications
You are a strong communicator and possess good business acumen. Furthermore, you have natural authority and tenacity, coupled by an ability to make complicated matters simple. We expect that you have the following skills:
- MSc (medical or biotechnology), MBA or legal degree
- Documented experience with sustainability management at corporate level
- 5-10 years’ experience in similar role
- Fluent in English
- Proven track record of excellent stakeholder management competencies
- Commercial as well as technical understanding
- Structured and with good data analysis skills
