Step into a global R&D Materials Technology organisation
At Coloplast’s HQ in Humlebæk, you will join our Materials department where we are 35+ colleagues divided into 4 teams. We participate in technology maturing projects as well as development projects aiming to identify and develop the most suitable material solutions.
As part of Coloplast’s global R&D organisation with more than 500 employees, we collaborate and share laboratories with many other departments, and you will gain a wide network of specialists across functions. Moreover, your new department employs a buddy set-up where most of the specialists are assigned a laboratory technician, and they work together in a project.
Mature and develop polymer materials
In both positions, you will work closely with your laboratory technician colleague and be part of development or technology project – the latter in collaboration with external partners from e.g. universities and/or the polymer industry. Specifically, you will:
As a team lead, you will also manage a small group of 4 specialists and 3 laboratory technicians, including monitoring and securing member engagement, performance and development as well as conducting development and feedback meetings, etc.
Polymer specialist with cross-functional collaboration skills
As you will work cross-functionally, collaborating with areas such as Regulatory Affairs, QA, Medical Affairs and Marketing, it is vital that you are able to understand the function of others and likewise convey your specialist knowledge to them in an understandable manner.

- Support and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
- Take ownership and ensure that the projects are going in the right direction
- Take responsibility for selecting materials (primarily polymer) for new products
- Facilitate and perform testing and documentation
- Provide product specifications
As a team lead, you will also manage a small group of 4 specialists and 3 laboratory technicians, including monitoring and securing member engagement, performance and development as well as conducting development and feedback meetings, etc.
Polymer specialist with cross-functional collaboration skills
As you will work cross-functionally, collaborating with areas such as Regulatory Affairs, QA, Medical Affairs and Marketing, it is vital that you are able to understand the function of others and likewise convey your specialist knowledge to them in an understandable manner.
For both positions, we expect candidates to:
- Have a MSc in chemical engineering, chemistry or similar specialised in polymers
- Bring 5+ years of experience with polymers in a product development context
- Have broad knowledge of polymer science
- Hold a deep understanding of statistics
- Communicate effortlessly in English
