At the Coloplast Global R&D organisation in Humlebæk, Denmark, you will join the Adhesive Department, which comprises 30 highly skilled specialists, technicians and students. We are polymer material experts who focus on the performance of pressure-sensitive adhesives in product and technology development projects to provide the best solutions for our users.

Deliver adhesive solutions and help develop new test methods
In this position, you will develop new test methods and pressure-sensitive adhesives for our wound and ostomy care products. Understanding the interactions between the user and the technology will enable you to translate user needs into technically measurable requirements that form the basis for our product development and testing.
You will focus on ensuring that our test capabilities allow us to make data-driven decisions in the product development process, challenging your colleagues and our R&D organisation on how to efficiently develop new test methods.
Taking part in our development projects, you will help select suitable materials and test methods or develop new ones. Moreover, you will be responsible for documenting and communicating your results to specialists and laymen alike.
Polymer background and experience with test methods and product development
On a personal level, you are comfortable within the boundaries of R&D projects where routines are rare, and others rely on your initiatives to make things happen. At the same time, you are curious, open-minded and like to share knowledge with people around you. You are familiar with optimising ways of working, using structure and knowledge to simplify tasks.

Polymer background and experience with test methods and product development
- You have a technical, polymer relevant background, i.e. an MSc in chemical engineering or chemistry or a PhD in a similar area
- You have 3+ years of experience with test method development, including documentation and validation, either from university or the industry
- You have 3+ years of experience with material science and polymer technology from university or the industry – ideally including experience with pressure-sensitive adhesives
- You have experience with product or technology development
- You communicate effortlessly in English
