Business Development Manager for Financial Services Industry (FSI)


We’re looking for a self-starter with outstanding business development skills and a commercial mindset. A strategic thinker, who is a natural integrator and collaborator. If this is you, then join us as Business Development Manager in our Client Excellence team.

About Deloitte Client Excellence team

The Client Excellence team is responsible for driving business development and relationship-building on Deloitte’s largest and most important accounts within Financial Services. We work closely with Deloitte executives within the Financial Service Industry with the purpose of bringing the best of Deloitte to our clients. The Client Excellence team have the broad overview of Deloitte capabilities and we have a structured approach in how we deliver those capabilities to our clients.

As part of Client Excellence, you will be part of a dynamic and ambitious team with great opportunities for professional and personal development. You will assume a central position in the team from day one, and we trust that you will drive and manage tasks to deliver great results – of course with strong support from leaders and fellow team members. We expect that you actively contribute to the continued professionalization and development of both the Client Excellence department and Deloitte’s largest accounts.

The Client Excellence team consists of 13 people. Additionally, you will navigate a large and diverse stakeholder landscape, so we expect you to be a natural relationship-builder and thrive in new interactions.

Your role

As a Business Development Manager for FSI, you’ll work with senior leaders in Deloitte on our largest accounts within the Financial Services industry. You will be the catalyst helping us build relations, win projects, and manage work. You will oversee all account operations and strategic activities – keeping senior leaders “armed” and in front of the client. All in all, you’ll be the important link between the larger firm, the account team, and the client.

Your primary tasks will be:

  • Using our methodologies and tools, you will be developing and executing client relationship strategy, identifying client needs and build relationships
  • Driving business development on large accounts within FSI ensuring that we are organized in a way that brings the best of Deloitte’s five business units to the client in a seamless way
  • Navigating various levels within the client organization,
  • Working closely with the responsible Partner and each account team member to develop differentiated strategies
  • Building and developing the Client Excellence department

We imagine that you tick the following boxes:

  • Are a high performing candidate with a business degree
  • Have 5-7 years’ experience in business development or management consulting, preferably within the Financial Services industry
  • Are structured and analytical
  • Show strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships and foster collaboration
  • Have poise, executive presence, outstanding communication skills
  • Hold a high degree of proactivity
  • Have extensive experience with crafting and delivering proposals and presentations
  • Are experienced in mentoring/counselling others
