We are seeking a highly self-sufficient and skilled Research Technician to join our team and support our efforts in optimizing, developing, and industrializing glass and glass ceramics for Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell (SOEC) applications. As a Research Technician, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory running experiments, operating and maintaining equipment, and conducting analysis. Excellent documentation will be an important part of this job. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of energy conversion and storage.Who we’re looking forKey responsibilities:Key responsibilities:Operate and maintain various equipment for glass experiments, including crucibles, thermocouples, and furnaces, ensuring their proper functioning and safety. Document experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately and in a timely manner. Conduct analysis using tools that may include dilatometers, thermal and mechanical analysis equipment, and thick and thin layers characterization techniques. Prepare samples in various forms, including pellets, bars, and component tests, following established protocols and safety guidelines. Ensure the smooth running of all laboratory operations and maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with researchers and scientists to design and execute experiments, troubleshoot issues, and interpret results. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and scientific publications. Stay updated with the latest advancements and techniques in glass materials and SOEC applications.
