They need the transparency to ensure strong portfolio decisions, while your focus is to navigate through the bumpy execution road with the dedicated team and the supporting Line Managers. Job description
As Project Manager you will be leading internal change and development projects throughout the project lifecycle.
You will be a part of a new established PMO department and together with the full PMO team, you will ensure that all R&D projects are driven professionally across Terma, and across all product development areas covering Systems Engineering, SW, HW and Mechanical disciplines.
The project management activities include driving project initiation, pro-active risk management and being persistent during project execution. Key activities will also be to engage with key project and management stakeholders to ensure high transparency of project status during execution and to ensure a sustainable result after project closure. As you will be a part of a PMO department, a key element of your job, will also include to drive that the project(s) you are leading, have focus on improving the way we work throughout the project lifecycle, and to ensure to implement PMO best practices the best possible way in your own projects.
You thrive in a dynamic project environment, around many colleagues on different management levels with different project interests. You show operational leadership and have strong communication skills. You have analytical mindset, which enables you to facilitate teams and management stakeholders to get from ‘discussing things’ to ‘getting things done’. You can convert complex discussions into relatable plans and actions, which enables the project to move forward. And you see yourself as a Project Manager, for whom proactive planning, strong communication and project transparency are essential in successfully leading projects from initiation to closure.

Your primary working place will be either in Søborg or Lystrup. Currently we are looking for the right project manager profiles for both locations. In Søborg, the projects are primarily centered around SW, IT and AI development projects, while projects in Lystrup are covering both SW, HW and mechanical development projects. As a part of the PMO department, supporting Terma internal projects, you must also count on some travelling dependent on project specific engagements. Regular trips from Søborg to Lystrup and vice versa must be accounted for.

How to succeed in this position?
Your professional qualifications
- You have experience as a project manager, or as an experienced technical lead or team lead for product or IT development projects (+5 years)
- Certified Project Manager in one or more project or change management models is preferred, e.g. Prince2, SAFe including agile development, ADKAR
- MSc or BSc in Engineering, IT, Administration or similar relevant education
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
- You are an experienced MS Office package user, especially in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and preferable Project, you might also have experience with JIRA.

- You are a project manager with a holistic mindset, and are driven by leading and motivating project teams to deliver innovative products with high value for Terma and our customers
- You constantly work towards being a head of your project plans; early engagement with stakeholders to align expectations, involvement of key people in assessing main business and project risks – and identifying the right mitigation actions

- You bring positive energy into any room and are able to apply your social skills and empathy to create team spirit and meaningful networks
- Stakeholder Management is one of your main skills - you are good at communicating with colleagues, a enjoy building new relationship, and able to navigate and show leadership in a complex stakeholder landscape
