Are you a skilled laboratory technician with a proven background in handling and analyzing biological samples using immunoassays? Position Overview As a Laboratory Technician within our team, your primary responsibility will involve providing vital support for early-stage projects, focusing on the quantification of peptides and proteins within biological samples provided by our collaborators. The department's core analytical methods primarily revolve around immunoassays, including LOCI, ELISA, and MSD. Given that new projects often require the quantification of distinct peptides and proteins, a significant aspect of your role will be collaborating with your team to develop tailored analytical methods. Alongside method development, you will also play a crucial role in the analysis of samples using pre-established methods. In this capacity, you will rely on robotics and IT systems to efficiently handle samples and track data. Key Responsibilities In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing novel immunoassays. Planning and executing sample analyses. Conducting data analysis and ensuring data integrity. Contributing to the continuous enhancement of automated workflows. Actively improving workflows and bolstering departmental capabilities. Qualifications and Skills To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: Educational Background: A relevant education in laboratory technology or equivalent. Biological Expertise: Proficiency in general biological research laboratory techniques and workflows. Hands-On work: Practical experience in analyzing biological samples, preferentially with immunoassays. Data Focus: A keen interest in data analysis and a commitment to maintaining high data quality. Technical Preference: A flair for IT and laboratory instruments, with a willingness to learn and adapt. Continuous Learning: A proactive attitude towards expanding analytical technical skills and fostering an open mindset. Personal Attributes: Energetic, self-driven, organized, and a team player.
Experience with liquid handlers and programming is considered an advantage. About the Department The Department of Research Bioanalysis operates within Global Research Technology, situated in Maaloev, Denmark. Our core focus revolves around analyzing peptides and proteins in biological samples derived from animals (primarily plasma) and cell cultures. The data play a pivotal role in predicting the half-life of new compounds in circulation and evaluating their pharmacological effects. We offer support to projects during the early research phase across various indication areas, including diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. We continuously strive to increase the use of automated analytical instruments, develop novel IT tools, and to refine workflows spanning multiple departments.
