Are you a scientist who is passionate about flow cytometry and cell biology? Do you want to take part in bringing cell-based therapies to patients suffering from chronic kidney disease? Then you are the Associate Scientist we are looking for in our Kidney Organoid team within Cell Therapy Research! The position
Flow cytometry represents a key analytical tool in the development of cell therapies. As an Associate Scientist, you will be supporting our kidney organoid projects with development of new flow cytometry panels to support the phenotypic characterization of the cell products. Your main responsibilities will be designing and wet lab testing of new flow cytometry panels and initial evaluation for robustness. The panel design includes selection of antibodies and fluorochrome combinations. Wet lab testing includes robot loading, cell preparation, antibody staining, data acquisition and analysis as well as uploading of data to internal data bases and communication to stakeholders. We are looking for a dedicated person who will thrive in the intersection between flow cytometry and cell biology. The role requires a person with a high degree of independency and drive, but also a team player that can work cross functionally. You appreciate a good laboratory infrastructure and contribute to its maintenance. Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree and preferably at least 1-2 years of work experience. The ideal candidate has: A solid understanding and hands-on experience with analytical flow cytometry Experience with liquid handling stations A flair for optimising and troubleshooting automated workflows Experience with FlowJo analysis software is an advantage, but not a requirement As a person, you have a detail-oriented mindset and an interest in solving technical challenges. You are positive and open-minded, organised in your working routines and take pride in delivering high quality data to projects in a timely manner. You enjoy working as part of a team, where good communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective knowledge sharing and fostering a positive team spirit. However, you are also able to plan and work independently within your area of responsibility. About the department
