If yes, then we have the perfect commercial opportunity for you as Vice President, Project MASH The Position Preferably based in Copenhagen, Denmark, you will report to the Senior Vice President, Other Serious Chronic Diseases franchise (OSCD). You will be responsible for providing strategic commercial leadership for current and future phase 2 products in the MASH therapy area. You will also be accountable for portfolio strategies, commercial claims & deliverables for high value phase 3 commercial projects with substantial growth potential identified in the current long range forecasts. Key Responsibilities The project portfolio under this Vice President will drive a substantial share of Novo Noridisk’s growth short and long-term and have the following strategic priorities: Develop the commercial label strategy for sema MASH launch, working as the commercial representative in the Global Project Team. Develop aspirational commercial target product profiles to guide development projects with the objective to maximize project potential in well-defined patient and HCP segments. Develop the pipeline projects (post phase 2) including FGF21 lead and life cycle management indications in accordance with MASH Therapy Area strategy and the Commercial MASH Portfolio strategy. Contribute to the development/update of MASH Business Plans and lead specific or identified commercial contributions to Therapy Area Strategies (TAS) for MASH. Potential identified biomarkers and external diagnostic assessments and develop value generation proposals. Lead and develop team with focus on strong performance and high level of engagement, in alignment with the Novo Nordisk Way. As Vice President, you will provide strong strategic leadership in a highly complex, rapidly evolving disease area requiring alignment with multiple stakeholders across EVP areas and ensuring robust, clear prioritisation in an uncertain market environment and be prepared to make difficult choices and trade-offs. Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have a master’s degree in business or science, as well as more than 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably across the value chain: early product development, analytics, lifecycle management, commercial strategy (both short and long-term), affiliate execution including P&L understanding. Moreover, you need to have experience entering new therapy areas, good alliance, and partnership management skills. A deep understanding of product/drug development and commercialization including, market development, regulatory, product supply, market access, financial management, clinical/medical. Experience linking commercial strategies to execution within product launch planning and execution and experience working with R&D, marketing, pharmaceutical products, or medical devices with international exposure in a large organization are also indispensable for this position. Other requirements include solid leadership experience – delivering proven results through a high performing team, strong capacity for work and managing multiple projects, delivering high quality on time, very strong results-orientation, and an ability to successfully navigate and comply with relevant Novo Nordisk policies and SOPs. If you additionally have a high energy level, curiosity, ambition for self and for the brand, good communication and presentation skills, flexibility and open and honest communication, great stakeholder management capabilities and excellent strategic and analytical skills as well as verbal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, and finally, fluency in written and spoken English, then this is the position for you.
About the Department The Other Serious Chronic Diseases Commercial Franchise is located in Søborg, Denmark, and focuses on Cardiovascular Disease, MASH, Chronic Kidney and Early Alzheimer’s Disease therapeutic areas. OSCD is a growing area within Novo Nordisk. At present, we have a phase 3 trial ongoing investigating Semaglutide for treatment of MASH.
